FYI, it looks like you shot in 16:9 with your XL, but exported in 4:3. this makes your shot look smashed. Check your audio levers, balance the camera a little warmer and open the Iris a little.

Quick question, have you messed around with the "film like" functions of this camera? The movie 28 days later was shot with one of these cams, and I'm looking at maybe buying one (movie script in works, like everybody else these days). Just wanted to know if what they did is really just this cam and a few lenses.
Ok...where to begin...well for starters I am not for sure exactly what style of anime your into (action, romance, or just plain funny) but my suggestions would be: Eureka 7, Ergo Proxy, Code Geass, Deathnote, Black Lagoon Bleach, Ghost in the Shell (series), Ghost in the shell (movies), Claymore, Air Gear, Gantz, Berserk, Gungrave, Hellsing Ultimate, Gundam 08th MS Team, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Wolf's Rain, Desert Punk, Full Metal Panic. These to me are on par and some even better than FMA.
"Spice and Wolf" is pretty cool. Don't like the ending theme song though. Starting one is decent. Have you checked out "Claymore?" Very violent like Berzerk. Kinda like DBZ with stout women. "Full metal Panic" is a good one. But I think THE best anime so far I have seen would be "Desert Punk." There you go hope that wasn't so gay.
I'm also wanting be a film director, I'm looking forward to owing the XL-2 but I'm still saving for it. In the meantime I'm writing a screenplay. I also do music vids to films I wish I'd made (you can check them out in my page) Maybe I'll do an anime one, hmm.
I'm dieing to get myself an xl1 or x1s on ebay for my group relapsefilms(dot)com but its just so dang pricey! Tell how this cam worked out for you guys please
i'm not sure what you already know about camcorders, but, cams that are minidv and have 3CCD give the clearest picture. i like this cam alright, not so much the features it has but it's pretty clear, i haven't spent too much time using it though, so i'm probably not the best person to ask. but if i were to buy my own i wouldn't buy this one, for some reasons i can't really explain. overall it's a nice camcorder but if ur gonna spend 3000 on a cam you should get a newer model
BLeach is an awesome anime filled with so many action filled STUFF.But it only goes to 52 episodes in english..But in july new episodes come out..And they are all on youtube...
OH i forgot to mention that one; i like bleach too. a while back i was getting them in netflix, and saw all the ones they had at the time. they started taking forever to get more so i ended up getting into some other animes like 'getbackers' and some of the other ones i mentioned. and then kinda forgot about bleach. but yeah ur right that's a good anime, i'm gonna get back into again. i found a site that had them all, i need to start from the beginning to remember what all happened
