Well first off he's much bigger and on a technical level, just a notch above Royler. Royler is also fairly young in this taping from my knowledge.

@NeoOsiris19 HE wasnt young,this was a time when he was at his peak and several times brazilian bjj champ and won the first world champs the following year in 1996.Rickson was just better and heavier and stronger and more experienced

this isnt training from pride its japan vale tudo 95.The footage is on the video "choke".

@siasti theres footageof him sparring royler shot in this dojo on choke,maybe this exact part isnt there,its a long time since I saw it.i know its not prep for pride because i had an hour of tape on rickson .royler and his students sparring that this was taken from in 1996 and pride began in late 1997 so it must have been prep for japan vale tudo either 94 or 95.Chris saunders ,ricksons first american black belt was there too.

thats the idea. Any time whoever was filming thought that one was in danger, the camera went away. Keep in mind when this was filmed.
