  • This piece is so bored.

  • 00:01 Reminds me Ballade No.1 Chopin :P

  • Nice playing but not the authentic one: in the middle part it should be Piano-Sostenutto and not detached as he plays, this changes the character of the fanthasy!

  • @stickom Amazing that "Stickom" should critique Gould, one of the greatest pianists who ever lived!

  • @FOOFOOKITTY Thank you, it is not a critique, au contraire, it is my observation, and it is personal and for the most part wrong as I am not a musician, though I have some formal knowledge about the classical style. Cheer up and keep me corrected if that works for you.

  • @stickom As long as you admit you're wrong, I am oh-so-"cheered!" :D Future corrections shall be most amiably submitted!

  • @FOOFOOKITTY Glad we’come to terms, now… here’s some light over this fantasia that is to be paired to sonata in c-minor k.457, Mozart did; the concluding C of fantasia fires of in a blink of an eye to Molto allegro of sonata, will complete the gig. Bart Van Oort, Anthony Neman the best… have an enjoyable time!

  • I'm Learning this song for a competition. I Loooooooove it. This is an amazing interpretation

  • @colaband96 I hope you find Bart Van Oort. He paired K. 475 to K. 457 both in c- minor worth getting idea about tempos and dynamics, not to say one of the best I have in my library.

  • yes this is a very weird performance indeed, where's the "pathos"?

  • Many people seem to find this emotionless. Perversely, I think this is very heart-felt.

  • @morvensky Great comment ! It means that , you are free of dogmatic "rules..." & wisdom is your lighthouse...

  • His imagination & grace... are SO RARE , SO UNPARALLELED, SO GENIUS !

  • Comment removed

  • @cireme I'm so sorry . I don't understand your language...I guess it is Italian ? so can't replay...

  • @sam0xin Sorry. My comment was out of place. I've moved it!

I love that! You know he did that.

  • Glenn Gould is the musical equivalent of King Midas. Everything turns into gold !

Wonderful and breath taking this is.

Thanx MagicDonDino for sharing it with us !!!

    5 * for u

  • @Nijmegen1955 Great analogy!

  • Best performance of this I've heard.

  • I didn't like Mozart much until I hear Gould plays it. A true alchemist.

  • @acoolmouse you don't like mozart hehe you don't hear that very often . I think mozart wrote some masterpieces thats for sure !! Bach is my alltime favorite tough!!

  • This is the most apathetic performance of this piece that I have ever heard.

  • he takes all the emotion out of it. Can't you see he hates mozart. Listen to other versions to get a correct interpretation

  • sorry but it's obvious that you have no idea of gould

  • @freakman931 neither you notr gould have no idea of Mozart

  • @WolfgangusMozartus well i posted my kommentar before i listen to the piece.

  • @WolfgangusMozartus It's not that he hated Mozart (well his later pieces Gould didn't like) but because he thought composers like Bach was so much superior.

  • @Enix5548 haha he was indeed^^

  • Around 3:30 i think, he begins to sing the theme:) 3:57, 4:05, 4:25, ... lol, he's fantastic!

  • Glenn Gould is so fantastic!

  • Its slower than i expect, but its more beautiful :) I really like it. I love this piece

  • Excellent!!! One of my favourite works of Mozart!

    Gracias...
