  • @paqman3d hehe, well that's more than nothing :) I can't even clap in the same rhythm as the rest in a crowd. But I am persistent to get something going.

  • @paqman3d Will keep that in mind :) Just started last sunday, but have a lot of experience in other software packages like photoshop and cinema4d (10+ years) so I know what it is to learn a new program. I am having a lot of fun trying out all sorts of things an the interface is handy which I had trouble with in for example reason. I am really a-musical so if I get something nice out of it, it will be a real milestone. Thanks for the inspiration! I'll send a link when I have something decent...

  • @doubledope When I started out it took me about 2yrs to get a grasp on the program. If I posted my early beats I wouldn't have any fans LOL. I mostly made beats and listened to them myself back then cuz all I got was negative feedback, but I kept at it and now I don't really care who hears my stuff. I have no musical background, unless you count middle school band lol.

  • I have to agree with MrBaja9, really good stuff! I have listened for some time now to your music and now that I started using FL studio myself I appreciate it on a whole different level.

  • @doubledope Thanks. I've been using FL since 2002, so don't feel bad if you're new to the program. I'd also say that 75% of the stuff in this beat are aftermarket samples lol. The melodies are all thru a VST called Nexus. I've been messing with that for about a year, just trying to change my sound up a bit. If you ever got any questions just hit me up.

  • I've been listening to your stuff, man you take remix's/instrumental's/music period to a whole different level in my mind. I listen to all kinds of music and out of all of the tens of thousands of songs I've heard your stuff really sticks out. You know how to capture real emotion in your songs which is an extremely rare talent. Keep it up man, don't let any of the hate get to you!

Oh yeah your "Bang Bang" remix is literally the only good version on youtube.

  • @MrBaja9 wow thanks for the kind words, man. I truly appreciate it. And yeah, I always try to find some kind of emotion with my music. Most of it sounds dark or sad, but it's what comes out. I always think of the song name first then work around it. I usually find an image to inspire me and make a soundscape to match.

I think this beat took me longer to do than Bang Bang lol. Remixes are fun, but I really try to focus on original stuff without sampling.
