Guiding Light should still be on the air! I am glad that Tom went to As The World Turns where he is also amazing! I am glad that he did not go to General Hospital because it is a lame soap. I had the opportunity to meet Tom at the "So Long Springfield" event in Atlanta. He is an amazing actor and very down to earth with the fans. He and Kim Zimmer simply ROCK!!

OK, for all the STUPID people who are posting STUPID comments about what a "bad" soap Guiding Light is, it is a WONDERFUL show that has been around longer than all you IDIOTS combined......over 70 years. It has GREAT writers and actors, and should be on for another 70+ years!!! And, for the record, just because a show has good ratings, that doesn't mean that it is a QUALITY show. Just look at all this REALITY TV bullshit that people seem to EAT UP that is complete and total CRAP!!!

Well she's back, but as u know by now GL has lost 2 actors to AMC(RPG)Gus now Jake and (BE)Harley no character name yet. Can u really c Tom playing Leo, anyway both Actors won Emmys for their roles, and that's a fact. We'll see how Tom does at the emmys this year (08).

You must have ESP to know that! I'm sure people have said the same thing about GL a couple of decades ago. If DVDs caused a downward spiral for soaps, VHS should've done the same in their day. That's not the reason soaps are losing viewers. And cell phones aren't new.

Daytime drama. GL why pay Kim Zimmer 1000$ then pay Josh 1000$ then pay the cast between 400$-1000$

Whn the network can just have a talk show Tyra banks prolly gets 1000$ and pay really no one else.

Reality people dont get paid n e thing because its reality and no script.

A soap cast is 15-25 people making 500-1000 a week.Its about saving money now days, have u been under a rock??

I'm quite smart, actually. Tyra is on FOX. There is no soap on FOX. Why do you think networks aren't making money? Because people aren't watching. Their main audience was women, and now more and more women are joining the work force which mean they're losing the audience they appealed to most back on the days of Luke and Laura where their wedding drew in millions of viewers and soaps like GH aren't even making half of that.And on soaps you make more money on contract roles. Not every1 has one.
