  • God I love this show!!! perapera by the way means "fluent" in a language - as in "flapping your tongue around at a fast pace" the closest I can get to is BABUSHKA for when people speak Russian. "yeah and then she was all like 'ba-bushka ba-bushka ba-bushka' as if I speak Russian..."

  • Making fun of gaijin that's a paddlin.

  • perra means female dog in spanish XD

  • @mechaart perra, perra, perra

    Mean

    bitch, bitch, bitch

  • @mechaart more accurately, perra means bitch and usually used as such (incidentally, female dog is the original meaning of that word in English)

  • Uhm,... I think that "Pera" is more like the word japanese people use to pretend they're speaking .. like in english you can also use "blah blah blah", "yada yada yada", and so on...

  • @kaos1109 blah blah blah is actually universal かくかくしかじか I'm pretty sure pera refers to talking or speaking in the Japanese language from what I've learned that's why they used the word Pera. Like 彼は日本語がぺらぺらです。"Kare wa nihongo ga pera pera desu." means "He speaks Japanese fluently."

  • I can understand how people would say why are they saying a Spanish word because a lot more people understand Spanish than they do Japanese

  • @kaos1109 no

  • pera pera pera lol this is so funny...man i'm such a racist fuck

  • You know what they say about Gaijin... that we have big schlongs and are good at pummeling things!!

  • enough of this lame cartoon shit, i wanna see some girls fucking an octopuss.

  • @MidnightFapper69 i lol`d

  • Why do they keep trying to say bitch? Perra Perra Perra Perra! lmao! Excruse me! I love it!

  • @QBALL85 I thought bitch in Spanish was "bruja"? Isn't perra Spanish for female dog?

    ...

    Oh, right.

  • @legomovieman94 "Bruja" means "witch." Though "Puta" is more commonly used for bitch.

  • one problem...English people don't roll their r's...Spanish do

  • perra in spanish = bitch

  • Peter does the same type of thing in family guy, it's just italian he's making fun of and they say "bobidi boopidi" Not insultating, humorous!

  • Why are they speaking english and rolling their rs? It sounds more like fake spanish to me.

  • @turncoattradition Thank you for this! I didn't see your comment before I posted mine but I thought the exact same thing.

  • 1. For you to be using an anime to represent apparently Japanese (so widespread) views on foreigners is worrying for your argument.

    2. I found this quite hilarious, since it can be applied to any race/culture/country. Spanish person speaks to a German person, all the German person hears is pera peeeera! I could go on!! It's pointless to generalize a view shown in a COMEDY on a whole race of people.

  • Perra means female dog in spanish... that could come off really wrongO.O

  • lol it's funny...not racist for me. since the one who created this anime can't speaks or translates this situation to english so he or she just said it as perra4 or blah bla blah... the other character can't speak and not understand english. that is why...she hears just peraperepera blah blah...loike

  • is tht wat we sound like to them? O.O

  • perra means bitch in my country xD hahaha

  • they could ay least! say blah, at least tht is closer to english

  • perra means bitch in spanish

  • Binary Engrish xD PERA PERRA PERA PERA

  • Every day I thank the heavens that I was born in a country where I only have to learn one word.

    Pera PERA Perrra, PERAPERA

  • fuck whites! get out of my country!

  • @RedempVfx `

I don't want to live in your country (Japan), but what is wrong with you man? Just be nice.

  • @Mightyaurrod what's wrong with me? these apes are ruining my country they come and comit crimes they are too violent...... all they want is sleep with any girl they see stupid pink slugs...

  • @RedempVfx

I know that man, I live in Germany and foreigner are destroying this country as well. But it's not that everybody is like this. Don't judge everyone just because some people are doing shit. There are japanese people doing that in your country as well.

  • @RedempVfx Haha sounds like you're mad cuz you don't get any pussy. Stop complaining, you don't OWN the country you live in.

  • Lol wait a sec is the girl with the black hair supposed to be Azn? If thats the case why in the blue hell does she have bigger eyes than the two white people 0_0.

  • @MrHack4fun

thats because the japanese girl was drawn as an anime character. the white guy was drawn as a cartoon character.

by the way there are interesting videos about asian eyes or anime. if you have an interest in it, check out "Making Jessica Alba asain" or "Are anime characters caucasian or japanese" on my channel.

  • @BrainTetsujin17: I've seen Caucasian characters in anime (Full Metal Alchemist, D. Gray Man) They don't look any different from the Asian characters aside from the fact that occasionally they have blonde hair.

  • @MrHack4fun

thats because in the anime the caucasian characters are drawn as typical anime characters.

  • Hmm. Didn't really think of this as a 'gaijin stereotype", but ok. I love all the bad English in Azu Daioh though xD

  • Lol

  • yeah....i'ts funny cos thats how i talk.....yeah..

  • -Haihai, nan desuka gaijin-san? Perapera, Peeeera peraaaaww?

    -Owww! Perapera!

    -Perapeeeeera peraperaaaaw?

    -Peraperaperaperaperapera...

    ...

    -*points* Pera! Pera! Perapeeera!

    -Perapera Perapera, Perapera perapera...

    -Perapera!!!Ahahahahaha!

    -Ohohohoho!

  • Lmao

  • japanese are so cute

  • hahaha it's so true, they really are.

  • Hahahaha xD

    I love this part

  • I will say "pera pera" everywhere now lol

  • GAIJIN MAD

  • dieso momento? Bad attempt at spanish or pathetic attempt at english? xD

  • I always wondered how people speak in "fake English" lol

  • @PozestStar It sounds more like "fake Spanish" than English

  • @Stektanudlar I know what it meant in this context I just thought it was funny they used a Spanish word and rolled their r's while using fake English...

  • @Stektanudlar What is your point with this? People are not idiots they get the context but like to mention that it is a Spanish word...big deal I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve here.

  • @Stektanudlar She made 3 comments on this video... all of which implied the EXACT same thing...it is irrelevant which one you were responding to....simple as that.

  • yohooo! PERA PERA!!!

  • thats funny.... pera means money in my country.... hmmmmm, gold diggers...

  • @diorsonxxx lol I thought it sounded a lot like dog in Spanish...

  • fucking love it

  • pera pera

  • "Pera pera"? :'D That's what english sounds like to them?? xD Lol, wtf??

  • @Kulborggoddamnit pera pera is not imitation sound of English, just onomatopoeia of fluent speaking like blah blah.

why you gaijins imitate Japanese language like "ching chong"

ching chong sound is cantonese only.

  • @sijotakane Lol, okay, I see your point. ^^ I apologize. Hey, now, I happen to think Japanese is a beautiful language. :D I'm moving to Kyoto in a few months to study it, so while many gaijins use words like "ching chong" when they try to imitate Japanese, I can assure you that I'm not one of them. :) I'm very much against english dubbed anime. Japanese seiyus are way better. ^^ (no offense, americans. ;))

  • @Kulborggoddamnit

Looking at your comments on other videos really helps to call you out on bullshit.

  • @MrOhaiMark Come on, man. Breathe. Me and my friends found this video hilarious, and for some reason, we felt the need to leave a stupid comment. Nothing serious. Relax, yeah? I've already bowed out respectfully. You were right, and I were wrong. Ok?

  • Yeah all of us white people talk like that here in America!

  • 537 Pera pera pera pera!

    34 Pera pera pera pera!

  • Enter Big McLargehuge!

  • "My friendo can speak Engrish" - LOL why would one learn Engrish?!

  • Actually pera pera means fluent in japanese so literally she's saying fluent fluent fluent hahahaha

  • @sarkaura It's probably a pun. Perapera is also an onamonapia for the sound of flipping pages and blabbering mouths. In other words, it translates as "blah" when describing unintelligible blabber.

  • oh, and I fail to see how its offensive. English comics have made muich the same joke- idiot can't understand a foreigner. What the foreigner actually says is irrelevant so they don't bother (though it would be nice to have a hidden joke for English speakers here I guess that would have took too much effort for a little quick scene!(

  • oh, and I don't get how there's anything offensive here at all. Many a English language comedy has made a joke about someone not understanding foreigners, the joke is on the person who can't understand, what is actually said is irrelevant so they don't bother.

  • interesting to see foreigners actually popping up in anime like this. Its always struck me as odd how despite the foreign English teacher being such a big part of real Japanese school life it never appears.

  • From what my tutor (Japanese) explained based on his friends and family's experiences, their primary concern is that westerners might in fact see them as 'stupid' for not being able to accommodate westerners through the use of English while in Japan, particularly when a westerner can use some Japanese whereas the person they're speaking to may not understand any English at all. I guess it's kind of a matter of pride in terms of reciprocal capacity discrepancies...

  • pera pera pera pera pera hahaha!

  • fuck, anime is xenophobic XD

  • @123CGM123 Yeah but you know he didn't mean it the "innocent" way lol

  • spainfags language is full of dirty words

  • I love racism

  • for all the people that are wondering why they are saying "pera pera" it is an onomatopoeic sound in Japanese for when people are speaking a foreign language fluently. It can be any Language.

  • "pera pera" i just laughed so hard that blood started to come out of my nose.

  • he dose not sound American/ European

  • As a non-japanesse i should say.... pera pera pera pera pera... pera pera pera pera....

  • lol some "racism" if its in a cute/mild manner is hardly any offensive.

stereotypes only exist because there... well there really is a lot of them irl duh.

  • racism is okay sometimes yay

  • haaaaaaaaa YukaYuyu is my Gensokyo

  • pera PEEERRA lol

  • well not all japanese people have small eyes they also tend to exaggerate a lot in anime

  • it's funnier if you speak Spanish, because what the Japanese think is the sound of fluent language skills "pera pera" sounds like "perra" with is "Bitch" in Spanish

  • @EmirioSan lol in our language tagalog (Philippine language) "pera" means "money" :D

  • @EmirioSan The word also means female dog.

    You and your dirty mind!

  • @EmirioSan: I was just about to say that! XD

  • @EmirioSan And we all know that currently Spain is entering into one most poor counties of Europe. in history, they Have Tried to colonize over in Japan & couldn't succeeded. Current Ex-Spanish colonies countries are facing devastating economical poverty & Where light skin Caucasian people are only treated as especial. Japan would Never go into that directions.

  • LOLOL I live in Japan and well...I'll have my perapera radar on from now on. Ironically perapera means fluently, or able to speak a lot. (not always a good meaning though)

  • @Chroma2021 So when they get naked, japanese guys have bigger dicks than westerners....

  • @Imhornydadcomeinside - yes, it's called a complex!

  • Comment removed

  • Perra!!!

  • gaijinw

  • LOLOL

  • its like two pokemon talking to each other!

  • The Azomanga dub is probably the only dub in existences worse than the One Piece dub.

  • @HeOf7

    I liked it.

How come you don't like it?

  • @Werdfrerb2

    Probably because I have taste.

  • @HeOf7

To each their own, I guess.

I never learned Japanese so it's "kind of" difficult for me to understand them.

    Go figure.

  • he is like Coco from foster's home for imaginary friends

she only say coco coco but still they understand her XD

and Rock from choder but he say's radda radda lol

  • His mouth was flapping so he wasn't American. :P

  • What's with the pera pera?

  • @saiyoucho I believe it means 'fluency'... it just suggests that sensei is fluent in English, without the actors or writers really knowing how to speak English.

  • ECKS-KUHYOOSI-MEE

  • THIS is BY far THE BEST ANIME TO EVER BE MADE IN THE WORLD(ENG DUB Ver) AND IF ANY SAYS ITS NOT I WILL COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND CUTT YOU!

  • I don't see any stereotype in this clip...

  • @Icewind007 sure, the blonde blue eyed foreigner who native language is english and seems to not know even a bit of japanese even though he's in japan. : P

  • @Burikami Heh, you're right. I guess I meant I didn't see any negative stereotype that would bring any notion of racism with it.

And as for a foreign man in the country not knowing any Japanese, the P.E. teacher didn't know a bit of English despite how much that is taught in Japan.

  • @Icewind007 It's just like spainish taught in american high school. No ones gonna know exactly care/remember the language unless it's spoken widely where they live *points to large espanol speaking population in the states near the border of mexico and parts of the U.S.* or a person wanted to go there and was interested In there language.

  • Japanese has a special kind of onomatopoeia that mimics things that don't actually have sounds. "Perapera" is the sound of fluency. So that's why they keep saying perapera--because they're speaking English fluently. It doesn't mean 'blah,' it's just that there is no good way to translate it into English.

  • pera peraaa pera pera peraaa

  • pierrot pierrot

  • What's the difference between "perra perra perra" and "ching chang chong". Some people are idiots, get over it.

  • LMAO XD

  • japan should learn english...i mean india and philippines know english why can't a rich country learn a simple language

  • @coolmartcola India knows English because it was a British domain. Philippines know English because it was an American domain. Japanese know English because...Oh, wait...

  • @coolmartcola thats a good point...america is a rich country why can't we learn a simple language like japanese?

  • @coolmartcola

They love their own language, just as how I love my own. Why don't English-speaking people learn Japanese instead. You're the lazy people. Oh hell, I know 4 languages, fuck you.

  • @Samhiuys well the thing is ...english is the universal language...it ain't chinese , nor japanese nor german...so..?

  • @coolmartcola Well, in the Western world, if you combine the all the English speaking countries, it´s clear why other countries have to learn English to be competitive in the market. East Asia, on the other hand, is doing well on their own. Japan, being a country smaller than California, has nearly 1/3 the GDP of all of America combined. China is quickly catching up to the US and is expected to surpass us. At this rate it may not be long before we start having to learn their language...

  • @ne77s yes china will surpass usa..it's just a matter of time...but the cultural influence of america will still be there...it will always be...i don't expect other countries singing chinese songs or imitating chinese actors/actresses....they don't have the groundwork to influence the culture of other countries...the only thing they can do that is to invade other countries w/c i think the will do on asia...they'll invade phil , mongolia and korea...once they got all the power..trust me

  • @coolmartcola Really? I take it you've never heard of AnimeExpo. What about the thousands of Americans learning Asian martial arts? They've already influenced American culture. It's just that some Americans have this "the whole world is 'MERICA" attitude and think we're the center of everything. We go to Europe and Asia as tourists and tell people to speak English. It's ridiculous. It is that mentality that is why so many people hate us.

  • @ne77s animexpo ain't about china ...it's japan...

  • @coolmartcola No really? Call me crazy, but I was under the impression that this entire discussion was about Japan and why they don't speak English. Or have you forgotten already what the heck we were even talking about. Lol....

  • @ne77s u talked about china so i responded about china it lol..

  • @ne77s Anime hasnt really influenced American culture, maybe you have it backwards. ITs loss popularity recently and generally its only an internet thing. Plus America is the super power of the world, so that attitude is more or so right.

  • @coolmartcola Even CHinese experts say due to Chinese financial problems, and its general dislike across the world, it wont be a super power, economist and experts say that America will be fine in 2016. People become superpowers through war, like how the USA became a superpower in WW2. China wont stand a chance, big army, but no space power.

Nice try but most in the world believe USA will reign for another century.

  • @DarPower1

    I hate communists but...

If you're here in South east asia...

They're starting to get aggressive here, i'm quite worried.

  • @ne77s Plus i doubt America will ever pay CHina back, especially if they go to war so its China's loss, eventually they'll just ignore the whole thing like every other debt problem in the world. Nobody expects China, with their communism, dislike, and poverty to surpass anything if they can barely go to space or outrank the USA in nukes.

  • @DarPower1

Call the dictionary people, for today "superior" has been redefined to "who has been to space and possesses many nukes".

  • @gothicspoon I guess you just dont get how politics work do you? Well i didnt expect much from a goth anyways.

  • @DarPower1

And of course your obvious maturity proves you right...

  • @gothicspoon No, just facts. Something you're obviously not familiar with.

  • @DarPower1

    Well evidently...

  • @gothicspoon ?....evidently you're not familiar with knowledge. Yes i know.

  • @DarPower1

Your life must be so boring.

  • @gothicspoon You'd be really surprised on how totally wrong you are.

  • @DarPower1 Yeah, but you should know that the USA will eventually be destroyed internally by low IQ mexicans and hispanics, whom have the highest birth rates. They will become the majority in 2050. They already make up 50% of babies. It is important to note that the average IQ of latinos is 87. China's average IQ is 105.

  • @fuckyou121212121212 Iq's mean nothing, especially in a strict occupied country like China where they arent allowed to think otherwise. China dosnt have enough allies or friends. America will always have high achievers and the best tech, As for your racist comment, well um will probably build a wall or something so......we simply have more opportunities with are large influx of entrepreneurs. Plus people though the same about every foreigner but it turned out not to be true.

  • @DarPower1 A wall is futile: they have already developed a foothold in the U.S and are reproducing like viruses. They are a parasite that will eventually destroy america as we know it. America's average Iq will be well below 87 in our life time...

  • @fuckyou121212121212 I'm the smartest kid in my history class and my family only has 2 kids. Suck on that you fucking douch bag.

  • @coolmartcola They Speak English becouse of their Slave mentality ..

  • ??? i don't see the stereotyping at all here...

  • Comment removed

  • If i ever go to Japan, pera will be the only word i say. Also im not american.

  • pera perrraa pera pera

  • ok is it just me or does anyone else hear them saying perra (bitch in spanish)? I'm hispanic and i can cleary hear their pronounciation of spanish RR's instead. bueno quien sabe, al menos los japonés saben cómo decir perra en español XD jajajajajaja

  • perra? ...................perra = blah?

  • Perra? OH! Perra perra, perra? Perra. Oh I understand a little :D

  • @Whazzupie

perra, perra perra perra hamburger perra perra perra.

    perra perra perra perra?
