@Thejeter5770 the first thing I have to say to you is learn to spell. The second is that these people with Autism or other disabilities are not "retards" they are people no different from the rest of us. They may require a little bit of help but havent you at least once in your life needed help? I'm sure if someone said to you the same thing you posted here you would feel betrayed by humanity and helpless. People with negative, pessimistic views like you break my heart.
Wow what gorgeous children you have. You both are great parents. You can see in the clips how much your children have come along. I have worked with a lot of autistic children and they do improve !!! And in reply to a negative comment in here you CAN FIGHT AUTISM. Well done and best wishes for the future. This is a great vid to have here for others to be educated. well done !!

gamiezion---interesting how wen I turn the tables on you---you don't like it----no I don't know you---nor do know me or MY God---you can take your reasearch and flush it down the toilet with the rest of the garbage...people come here looking for help, not hateful, cruel comments that you have placed on this board. So, dear one, if you have nothing NICE to say, then DON'T comment!!!
I absolutely love your video and your testimony. My daugther is 11.5 months old and I am pretty confident she also has PDD. She has an older brother who is 4. Psalm 139... we are all fearfully and wonderfully made. I am not concerned as to why.. i just want to know what to do now.. and with my heavenly Father I will find the strength to get through it. She is my ministry... she my little light. her name is Norah and prayer is powerfull. thanks for your story. Blessings and prayer 4 you.
gamiezion----the thing with autism, these kids 'need proof of everything'...are also living proof of God. My granddaughter LOVES God and goes to church with excitement...if you live your life as a true Christian, not just when the doors are open, but EVERYDAY...then they see Christ thru you....Yes, these kids see more and feel more..and they will pick up on hypocrites faster then anyone...we are to raise up our children in the way they should go, and when they get old, they won't depart from it
gamiezion--WATCH YOURSELF--you and your ignorant mouth have NO IDEA about the delight of my grandaughter...brainwashed, hardley..She's been raised to KNOW that she is a wonderful creation of a LOVING GOD--as are you, even with your hateful comments, Pslm 139: For I am wonderfully and fearfully made.." I THANK GOD for my children, and grandchildren...I rather raise them up in the way of the Lord ANYDAY than the hopless hateful way of the world...If you nothing nice to say, stay quiet
hi eyebeeablessing2u, could I ask you, what are your daughters' signs? eyebeeablessing2u, it's hard to figure, being a lay[person that I am, but it seems like you do have somthing to be concerned about. Being that it is a "spectrum" disorder...sadly, there are no set symptoms, (wish that there were, would make things easier) you could ask her Dr. to do a stool sample on her to rule out anything organic going on...My grandaughter dosen't prodess ANY carbs...and her stools are "strange", WRITE down everything that concerns you..BUG the DR. be a pest...I'm here 4 u!

my nephew has autism and watching this video made me cry. .each child is special in his own special way. we have to let them feel the GREATEST LOVE we can offer.
me and my older brother both have autism we r also going thriough intense therapy but they say it may be to late for me since i was diagnosed last year at age 13 by brother however is doing extreamly well since he was diagnosed at age 5 and is now 20 thx for making this video and i know exactly how u feel.
You are such a wonderful family! I'm a nursing student and just learning about Autism in my research and interaction with different children diagnosed at clinical sites. I believe it is important to integrate specific diets and vitamins that are found to be lacking in children with ASD. I saw that you were implementing that. Definitely good to give everything a try and see if there's any improvements.
What a beautiful video, I think your children are lucky to have such wonderful parents and have each other. My son David is on the spectrum and we do the GF/CF diet and we see alot of good coming from it we will be starting bio-medical treatments in May. Good luck with those beautiful children, all of them!
I loved the first half of this video, but the second half was a little down. You can't 'fight against autism' you can change their behaviour certainly, but they will always be autistic which is good. People focus on the bad parts of autism too much, its simply a different way of developing.
Why do you think that they can't TRY to fight autism? ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN! They are trying to fight away from it, not fight kids who have it and say autism's bad!
I personally don't believe that you can "cure" autism. I believe that if the autism is diagnosed as early as possible and if you understand that their brain works in different ways then there are ways of helping the child to reach their potential within the limits of their handicap. I grew up with a boy with autism, he was a non verbal until he went to school but with a lot of specialist help he now seems to be functioning at his correct age level. He was not cured of autism but was helped.
What an uplifting, hope-inspiring video. I have a 5 year old daughter on the spectrum, and we will be starting bio-medical intervention in December, coupling it with traditional therapies. Good luck with your future journeys. You're an inspiration to many of us.
What a touching video. Our family has taken this journey with 2 children as well. Kudo's to all our little ones who work so hard to over come and Kudo's to their siblings who work so hard to help them .
I am the father of three boys, the oldest when 2 years old was diagnosed with autism. Now he's 6 and is in mainstream school. I'm writing to offer my help to any parents/families of children with autism. We've had no miracle cure/treatment, just a lot of enthusiasm and a little determination. Message me if you need to talk or if you're in need of some inspiration. I could talk for days about my son's improvements and want to help others to achieve the same with their children. Kevin.
My previous comment was a reply to "DrBeast". Anyway you have a beautiful family and children lucky to have strong parents who care so much! Great Video! I have a 3.5 year old Boy diagnosed at 2yrs. We are also trying bio-medical/diet intervention. Progress is a beautiful things, at any rate. Thanks for sharing.
I am a mother of a 9 year old son diagnosed with aspergers. I also have a nonverbal 6 year old son with autism. I really enjoyed this video very much!
so you made a video about your slef on this so called disability that affects millions of people. AUTISM IS A JOKE!!!! ITS ALL BULLSHIT!!! watching this, all i saw was a normal kid. but no i have autism so im special and can ramble on about nothing. Autism is something for doctors to give random kids that learn slow a name so they can get more money in their pocket. but hey why would that bother you, you guys seem to be set well off. no one cares bout you. just go hang yourself in the closet.
I just want to say the diagnosis of "autism" has done NOTHING but give us money PROBLEMS not given us MORE money! We have ZERO help,ZERO money, and insurance companys HATE the word AUTISM its a BAD word to them. We got dropped from our insurance because of Autism. YOU CAN NOT tell me we get money for this!!! I hope you never are affected by autism because that poor soul will have to live near YOU!! Be more understanding of ALL the differences of the world!
If anyone needs to hang themself it's you. The world has enough ingnorant, idiotic, miserable, pathetic people like you. You know what? I really dont need to stoop down to your level and say bad things. Your punishment is you having to live life as YOU...you will do it to yourself. Good Luck and may God shed some light on you.
Of COURSE all you saw was a normal kid! Try educating yourself instead of bashing others. People with autism don't have an obvious "look" like people with CP or Down's. But it is VERY REAL. Why don't you volunteer someplace that serves the autistic community? Get involved with an organization that raises awareness. THEN try to convince yourself it doesn't exist. Your ingnorance and spite appalls me.
I have two sons with "autism" as you like to say; and if your idea of a normal kid is bashing there head into walls because something is misplaced and can't be fixed, or being 3 and gagging at the site of your baby brother for the first six months, even though he would give him his favorite toys and loved him to death.I would really like to hear your verison of a abnormal child.A child with autism does not come with a stamp on their head.So since your so smart why don't you tell us the answer
I love your video, it left me in tears but gave me comfort. I have 3 boys and 2 of them have autism. I have a Mikey too! he doesn't have autism and is so patient with his brothers he's just stuck in the middle but they learn so much from him. Keep walking strong....your not alone :)
I loved your video and your captions were really touching. You have a beautiful family that work together. Your children are amazing how they help each other and keep pushing. Very inspirational.
Thank you for the video! I am a psychologist & BCBA.I have worked with children with autism for 10+ years. What a beautiful testimony to you & your family for your hard work.I am a mom of 2 small children so this video touched me as a professional & mom. Thank God that your children have fighting parents! God bless you, Laura Addison
love this video and the comment "love me and accept my differences" if only we could make that the catchcry for autism! thanks for sharing your beautiful family!
What a great video!!!! your kids are so precious!!! Our son is in the process of getting a diagnoses...i am collecting videos to take with us to our next visit june 10th..he has been diagnosed with developmental delays, gross motor delays,speech/language disorder, and Sensory processing disorder.thanks for posting i loved it!!!!! we also have a Gabriel..lol...he is 8 adn we are going to be starting hippotherapy as well
HI!! i abosolutely loved this video. I currently work as an ABA tutor and am in contact daily with children with Autism. Everyday, i see the kids grow and understand more. They have bad days like any person does but I can see them learning more and more each day. Your video is inspiring and i wish every parent with a child with Autism could see it.
Sweet video, my son was recently diagnosed and were looking into detoxifing him and putting him on the diet, can you discribe what worked for your boys and what didn't? How do you cope with outings on the diet? Where did you find glueten free pizza? any info you'd be willing to share would be great..
This brain not developing in the fetus is caused by exposure to some from of radiation or microwave. One possible answer is an understand of the quantum psychic body. hence that you will have to ask the infinite to regenerate the brain cells of the child.
if you search my name on yahoo you can find my info. For this case it would take 1 to2 years to cure these children they must have a scientific vocabulary. // not enough room to explain all this
God bless you all.. I have an autistic grandson, two autistic nephews and one autistic niece. Everyone in our family feel so blessed that we have these beautiful children. They have taught us much. They are all making great strides in their own way. But, it breaks my heart to see them have to fight so hard. Much love to you all
but that just means "slowed development", unfortunatly autisem can be much harder then that. (also some people think retardation or retarded is a bad word, but it depends on the context) [my proffesor uses the term in physics alot]
I can't stop crying. I have a three year old in ABA, but only for 8 hours a week. We can barely afford that! It's $600 a week because insurance won't help. I see that these kids are getting 40 hours a week, and I feel like my child isn't getting enough. I just want him to start talking and somewhat recover from this mysterious brain disorder.
I cried during the video - We, too have a autistic son. He is so wonderful - He is my hero. He has taught me patience and how to love life. Right now, we are going through alot - but I get by with his kisses and his hands holding my face while i get them. God Bless You !!!
Lovely family video ....... one critique... dont' fight against autism. Learn to work WITH autism. You as NT's are learning yourselves to work with it. There is nothing wrong with autism. Chances are your autie children are brigther than the rest of the family. They have to learn YOUR language. Thta being said... Lovely family and lovely commitment by all. you should be very proud.
Being an NT is not a gift. Have you contacted a psychiatrist about your problems. Your insatiable need to look at eyes? Your low IQ on the average? Your inability to enjoy solitude? Your blazee need to socialize and have exact development patterns? NT= Boring and mundane.
Thank you for your beautiful video. I cried the whole time. I have two boys with Autism too, aged 8 and 10. They've worked very hard too, but the eldest still has such a long way to go. Thank you so much.
this is such a powerful video. I got it from one of the parents i work with. She also has two boys with autsim. Early intervention has helped the family out so much. She is my hero!
Wow, what an amazing story. Thank you for sharing. I am a student doing a research project on Autism and structured education tecniques, and this video really helped bring the humanistic side to life for me. You have four beautiful kids, and thank you for never giving up!
Part 2 of my post: Children or adults shouldnt have to suffer because of one vaccination shot that turned out bad.
I can count on one hand the number of colds I've caught in my adult life.I will NEVER poison my children with a vaccination. And it has nothing to do with religion etc, its a choice any parent can make.
I appreciate what you are saying, but i think it is quite selfish of you to not give your children vaccines,as if they were to catch a disease, then everyone around them would catch it too. also, although autism can be a struggle,it can bless people with wonderful gifts,so even if your child does get autism from a shot(which is highly unlikely)it is better than them dying from one of the diseases.
I know it sounds selfish, but it's a choice i've stuck with. If my child would get chicken pox..its totally natural, its better they get it when they are young. As for flu shots..i completely disagree with them. it will build up a child's immune system if they get the flu or a cold once in a while.
yes, i definitely agree with the flu shots, it is just a normal part of life, and if a child did get a serious illness, then they would be able to fight it much more effectively. I admire how you stick to your morals.
People need to stop focusing on this "idiot-savante" aspect of autism, not all of autistics are like rainman! My brother is severly autistic (but only after his vaccine- coincidence?), not HFA or aspbergers, and although I think vaccinations are important I can definatly understand sneakersbaja's attitude. I'm sorry if this offends people with HFA, but autism in it's severe stages IS NOT a gift
Children with Autism beautiful loving children! If research shows that Autism is caused by vaccinations guess what, you don't need to have a vaccination.I've never had a vaccination in my life!!You don't need it people, vaccinations have become so political. I've never had polio, mono, flu's, chicken pox, mumps, etc.
part 2 of my post: Just because you have never got one, it doesn't mean that your children wont.Sorry if this appears rude or nosy, but it is just my opinion.
I feel sorry for the people who feel sorry for you and your family. They just can't see that God blessed you in such a profound way. They will never know the happiness you have found through these two angels...........God Bless You all............
My big brother has got autism too, he can walk, laugh, you can get eye contact on him easily, he speaks little bit, he has won over 1000 euros (total) on writing competitions, he writes storys about hes life and he has been on local autism magasine twice. He is just amazing. And he has won lots of awards on his school. Well lets get back to this video :P. These kids are so cute and i hope that you can pull through this. God bless you!
sorry to hit ya where it hurts. Maybe you are smart, especially when you can resort to calling someone a 'fucking twat', you must be a doctor with that kind of a response!!
Wow this is beautiful. Brought me to tears. You're extraordinary parents with huge goals for your sons. Love passes threw everyone when they watch this video!
My sons are 12 and 6. They have Autism. Their sisters are very supportive of their goals. Even though the youngest sister is 3. She helps our six year old son communicate. Our sons are lucky to have cheerleaders giving them the encouragement to never lose sight or their voice to accomplish success. We are truly blessed as your family is too. We are cheering you guys on too.
If you want to stop vaccines from causing Autism, you must show parents how to protect their kids from diseases like Flu, TB, etc.
Vitamin C will prevent Flu. My 3, now 22, 24 & 33, kids never get sick because they take 2 gms of Vitamin C hourly. I never get sick because I take 2 gms of vit C hourly.
I am on the Autistic Spectrum. I've never had ABA and I'm doing a lot better than my Preschool classmates who DID have ABA twelve or so years ago. I find ABA dehumanizing on many levels.
ABA is an acronym for 'Applied Behavioral Analysis'. It's a technique that is, in my opinion, overused. As for how it's dehumanizing, it's only dehumanizing if misused. It involves constant aversive conditioning that could be considered similar to animal training or abuse. Now, even though ABA can be effectively used to get rid of self-destructive behaviors, it is often misused to even get rid of symptoms that AREN'T self-destructive, almost as if to eliminate the autism (which isn't possible).
I like ABA it must be, like any other therapy, applied appropriately. Contitioning is OK. We are conditioned by the nature and the environment, and vice versa, since the they we are born. E.g. Baby, Cry, Mother. Conditioning can alter synapses and possibly help regions of brain to compensate for 'damaged' areas. The sooner your start- the more you can repair. For me is self-desctructive to let the child slip away into its word and live it alone
I babysit 3 autistic kids. They are 8, 4, and 3. The 8 year old is so smart, and i know he'll ago far in life. the 4 year old lives in a world of her own, but is sweet as a rose. The 3 year old is so cute, and caring of others.
parents to be admired, kids to be adored.

Thanks for sharing.

so you made a video about your slef on this so called disability that affects millions of people. AUTISM IS A JOKE!!!! ITS ALL BULLSHIT!!! watching this, all i saw was a normal kid. but no i have autism so im special and can ramble on about nothing. Autism is something for doctors to give random kids that learn slow a name so they can get more money in their pocket. but hey why would that bother you, you guys seem to be set well off. no one cares bout you. just go hang yourself in the closet.
xDrBEAST 3 years ago
I just want to say the diagnosis of "autism" has done NOTHING but give us money PROBLEMS not given us MORE money! We have ZERO help,ZERO money, and insurance companys HATE the word AUTISM its a BAD word to them. We got dropped from our insurance because of Autism. YOU CAN NOT tell me we get money for this!!! I hope you never are affected by autism because that poor soul will have to live near YOU!! Be more understanding of ALL the differences of the world!
6ashull 3 years ago
If anyone needs to hang themself it's you. The world has enough ingnorant, idiotic, miserable, pathetic people like you. You know what? I really dont need to stoop down to your level and say bad things. Your punishment is you having to live life as YOU...you will do it to yourself. Good Luck and may God shed some light on you.
jbbomb22 3 years ago
Of COURSE all you saw was a normal kid! Try educating yourself instead of bashing others. People with autism don't have an obvious "look" like people with CP or Down's. But it is VERY REAL. Why don't you volunteer someplace that serves the autistic community? Get involved with an organization that raises awareness. THEN try to convince yourself it doesn't exist. Your ingnorance and spite appalls me.
CAnderson66053 3 years ago
I have two sons with "autism" as you like to say; and if your idea of a normal kid is bashing there head into walls because something is misplaced and can't be fixed, or being 3 and gagging at the site of your baby brother for the first six months, even though he would give him his favorite toys and loved him to death.I would really like to hear your verison of a abnormal child.A child with autism does not come with a stamp on their head.So since your so smart why don't you tell us the answer

HI!! i abosolutely loved this video.

Where did you find glueten free pizza? any info you'd be willing to share would be great..

jamespowelson use yahoo search
This brain not developing in the fetus is caused by exposure to some from of radiation or microwave. One possible answer is an understand of the quantum psychic body. hence that you will have to ask the infinite to regenerate the brain cells of the child.
if you search my name on yahoo you can find my info. For this case it would take 1 to2 years to cure these children they must have a scientific vocabulary. // not enough room to explain all this

whats autism?
BrianLai3 4 years ago
you probbaly know it as retardation.
but that just means "slowed development", unfortunatly autisem can be much harder then that. (also some people think retardation or retarded is a bad word, but it depends on the context) [my proffesor uses the term in physics alot]
anyways, nothing a dictionary wont tell you.

I will disagree and so will donna williams and millions of other auties and aspies

what? that to "retard" is to decelerate or slow down?
how is that ignorant? you moron.
open a dictionary. or just google. if your brain has the capacity for that.

Lovely family and lovely commitment by all. you should be very proud.

maybe we can cure NT disorder. What do you think? Don't rain on our aspie and autie parade. We are the chosen ones and we are blessed. :)

Being an NT is not a gift. Have you contacted a psychiatrist about your problems. Your insatiable need to look at eyes? Your low IQ on the average? Your inability to enjoy solitude? Your blazee need to socialize and have exact development patterns? NT= Boring and mundane.

Part 2 of my post: Children or adults shouldnt have to suffer because of one vaccination shot that turned out bad.
I can count on one hand the number of colds I've caught in my adult life.I will NEVER poison my children with a vaccination. And it has nothing to do with religion etc, its a choice any parent can make.
sneakersbaja 4 years ago
I appreciate what you are saying, but i think it is quite selfish of you to not give your children vaccines,as if they were to catch a disease, then everyone around them would catch it too. also, although autism can be a struggle,it can bless people with wonderful gifts,so even if your child does get autism from a shot(which is highly unlikely)it is better than them dying from one of the diseases.
flipflap112s2 4 years ago
I know it sounds selfish, but it's a choice i've stuck with. If my child would get chicken pox..its totally natural, its better they get it when they are young. As for flu shots..i completely disagree with them. it will build up a child's immune system if they get the flu or a cold once in a while.
sneakersbaja 4 years ago
yes, i definitely agree with the flu shots, it is just a normal part of life, and if a child did get a serious illness, then they would be able to fight it much more effectively. I admire how you stick to your morals.
flipflap112s2 4 years ago
thx:)
sneakersbaja 4 years ago
People need to stop focusing on this "idiot-savante" aspect of autism, not all of autistics are like rainman! My brother is severly autistic (but only after his vaccine- coincidence?), not HFA or aspbergers, and although I think vaccinations are important I can definatly understand sneakersbaja's attitude. I'm sorry if this offends people with HFA, but autism in it's severe stages IS NOT a gift
iballie 4 years ago
Children with Autism beautiful loving children! If research shows that Autism is caused by vaccinations guess what, you don't need to have a vaccination.I've never had a vaccination in my life!!You don't need it people, vaccinations have become so political. I've never had polio, mono, flu's, chicken pox, mumps, etc.
sneakersbaja 4 years ago
part 2 of my post: Just because you have never got one, it doesn't mean that your children wont.Sorry if this appears rude or nosy, but it is just my opinion.

CoolNASCARGuy 4 years ago
What is ABA? My son is autistic and in early intervention sevices, but I have yet to hear of ABA, what is dehumanizing about it?
sacredmama7 3 years ago
ABA is an acronym for 'Applied Behavioral Analysis'. It's a technique that is, in my opinion, overused. As for how it's dehumanizing, it's only dehumanizing if misused. It involves constant aversive conditioning that could be considered similar to animal training or abuse. Now, even though ABA can be effectively used to get rid of self-destructive behaviors, it is often misused to even get rid of symptoms that AREN'T self-destructive, almost as if to eliminate the autism (which isn't possible).
CoolNASCARGuy 3 years ago
I like ABA it must be, like any other therapy, applied appropriately. Contitioning is OK. We are conditioned by the nature and the environment, and vice versa, since the they we are born. E.g. Baby, Cry, Mother. Conditioning can alter synapses and possibly help regions of brain to compensate for 'damaged' areas. The sooner your start- the more you can repair. For me is self-desctructive to let the child slip away into its word and live it alone
