i found this article:Researchers at Northwestern University in Chicago have identified a breakdown in the protein-processing system of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord of people with the neurodegenerative disease, according to a study published this week in the journal Nature. These neurons are unable to remove or repair damaged proteins. The damaged proteins then accumulate, impairing the ability of the cells to repair or maintain themselves.

My dad, Shelley F Woodward lost is fight on 12/9/10 but the WAR is far from over!!! I'm his daughter and my name is Shelley too.  I never let a day go by that ALS Awareness, the need for funding to continue research for a CURE and how the victims themselves of ALS and their families are going without necessities and need our help!! ALSGA Foundation is unbelievably AMAZING with the support they give to victims of ALS. ALSGA will fight anything or anyone to get what our ALS Community needs!!

@DevilGuyUK Nah, I really don't see that as being a proper response. I don't fear death, it's just something that happens. lol, like taking a shit after you eat enough, it just happens, eventually. If it was to make people fear death, then he would make it to were we ALL have the same disease and die so tragically. But we don't all die like that, so we value the life we got and just live it till whatever happens, happens. And when it does; well, look for good in it, and pray others learn from it

@BurningFliesAlive If we value the life we have, why do some people commit Suicide? Why do drug addicts exist? Why do wives stay with alcoholic husbands. That's not valuing their own lives, that's idolizing someone elses. Human nature is to be afraid of death. As well as greed. An example of valuing your own life is pushing in front of someone at an ATM. You value your life so much, you need that extra time, therefore making you greedy. It's just human nature dude, comes from evolution.
