Lovely. I also spent my childhood summers in South Seaside. The park was then known as "Phipp's Estate," and was forbidden territory. Of course, we managed to sneak around the beach fence at low tide... We now go legally and enjoy it very much, as do our children and grandchildren. Thank you!
hey nobodykh i think we could both agree that island beach state park not being developed was a great thing. you get to go to the beach and take a walk and see nothing but dunes, birds, flies unfortunately. just like god inteneded...lol... the bath houses and the governors mansion are kind of an eye sore, but the rest is still beautiful
yeah aside from a few buildings the park is literally undisturbed the great depression being down right horrible was like a saving grace 4 island beach state park

BEAUTIFUL I spent most of my life in s.seaside park and spent alot of time fishing in island beach. My mom still lives there.
