  • I don't believe that this is Snowy playing -completely- solo. When he starts to go into the first solo, you can clearly hear a 2nd guitar playing rhythm along with Philip. Listen close, it's NOT just bass in the background... there's a 2nd guitar playing the 'riff' with Phil. Maybe Scott was "illin' " that night and Snowy took the reins, who knows?!

  • So this gig was without Scott, yes? What's the story behind that, anyone? Interesting to hear Snowy working this hard...

  • We have a 3 piece version of this with a female vocalists if anyone is interested. Search for "Deep Blue dJinn, Night of the Wolf Moon" . Phil had such a great sound, its just too bad we lost him.

  • This is exactly why I picked up the drums as my first instrument as a young lad back in the 70's.

  • wow coca, thx

  • I can't believe they still played this song after so many years.

  • why wouldn't they? the rolling stones still play songs that are 40+ years old.

  • Yeah, but the stones are still moving. Lizzy didn't get the chance to be even 20 years old. I bet the Stones, don't play songs that they got started on. Seems like the band would've moved on to other things. Not that ANY of the songs from BR were lame material. I mean after they hit Jailbreak when did you hear songs like whiskey in the jar get played live ever again? Just saying, I would die to meet the band though!

  • You didn't hear Whiskey in the Jar because only Eric Bell played it. Whenever Phil got a chance to play it (when Midge Ure toured with Lizzy, for example) he did.

  • @denton908 Yeah I know buy I was using it as an example. Really? That's a fun fact.

  • @DensamG ever hear that one song, "Satisfaction" or something? I think the Stones still break that one out once and a while...

  • This features Brian Downey - and how!
