The thing with sub-zero being a counter-part to batman is that they both lost people close to them. batmans parents were killed and sub-zeros entire tribe was nearly killed by quan-chi so I think they are going by personality traits and backgrounds then fighting ability and powers. I could be wrong but thats my opinion.

We are actually excited about this. At least they are trying something new. Like what you said about Halo earlier, its always the same thing over and over. I'm glad they are willing to try something new.

I saw an interview with Ed Boon and he said something along the lines of superman or batman arent going to have their heads off and so i think its going to be rated T because of that. There will probably just be blood from hits, which is why im not feeling to confident about this game being good but, we will see.

Ed Boon has mentioned that there will be some "Cataclysmic Event" that will disrupt the fighters on Both Sides. Something like the MK warriors leeching some of the DC characters powers.

Well Ed Boon said he couldn't get Capcom to work with him and DC was all for it so he ran with it. I think if the different realms collide of course Superman would be weakend because his strength comes from the earth's sun but if earth's sun is not visible he's weakend. I wonder if Flash and Kabal will go toe to toe.
I was saying Kabal and Flash because they are some of my favorite character I saw Flash as having a similiar style of fighting and I was right about one of the characters Flash ended up on the list. Most of the characters I named earlier ended up on the playable list. Shazzam was a surprise though as well as Jax.

Thats what I've been saying since I heard about this game. Or at least DC VS Marvel the game suppose to be released sometime in November. Ed Boon said that he's thinking of using 20 characters 10 from MK, 10 from DC so it will probly be 5 heroes 5 villains and all you have to do is think of the main favored charaters. Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, maybe Kitana or Kung Lao and so on, since they suppose to be equal to DC and I keep hearing Wonder Woman she and Kitana are royality.
Still to this day Ultimate MK3 is my favorite and perhaps the fastest MK game.However ive always given MK the benefit of the doubt. Shaolin Monks despite its flaws was great. Give Mk vs DC a fighting chance.

I mean the argument that the fans have been given is that they can not have fatalities as you could not really kill off Batman, However MK Characters have been killing each other off for years and they are all still alive (Bar Lui Kang and Sub-Zero Original!)
I think the real reason is so the game may be marketed to a younger audience!!

I found that when this game was announced i was a little peeved but after watching a couple of videos and interviews it grew on me quite alot, so i am looking forward to playing.

In Deception he is one of the best in the game...and he was not in too many Mks...like Liu Kang for example...and I put him as my Grunt as well...he rocks!
in mortal kombat, there are different realms...in DC there are 52 different universes. from the MK perspective, i'm guessing they'll see DC as another realm. from the DC perspective, they'll see the MK world as one universe out of the 52 universes.

I will admit that I haven't heard too many real Irish accents in my lifetime, plus the cold threw me off initially, but I was immediately able to recognize that it was your real voice, haha. The MK vs DC idea is intriguing, so I was eager to see more than just the trailer. My fave character is Reptile from MK2, because all I wanted back then was to see more ninja characters like Scorpion, and a reptilian ninja that spit acid and could disappear was such an unexpected surprise.
the only problem I have is lack of fatalies which is kind of the essence of mortal kombat, granted if instead of fatalitities they simply have finishers I can deal with that, if done right
i wouldnt call them both human fighters, batman is human but sub-zero has that ice magic or w/e, but i guess it evens out cuz batman can do what no other human can do

My fave character is Reptile from MK2, because all I wanted back then was to see more ninja characters like Scorpion, and a reptilian ninja that spit acid and could disappear was such an unexpected surprise.

the only problem I have is lack of fatalies which is kind of the essence of mortal kombat, granted if instead of fatalitities they simply have finishers I can deal with that, if done right

i wouldnt call them both human fighters, batman is human but sub-zero has that ice magic or w/e, but i guess it evens out cuz batman can do what no other human can do
