he did an owen pallett song also. the reason i love this so much (and his other covers) is because they''re so raw and imperfect and stripped down. when i first heard this i was a bit confused, like, "you really just self-recorded this in your home and released it" like a normal person! and of course the original is amazing but this one has its own special-ness too, the special-ness of sondre! hahahaha

I like Sondre better than Animal Collective, just my taste (though I do listen to both), but I think it's silly to say this is better. I'm pretty sure he's just covering it because he likes the song and respects Animal Collective. He's not trying to make some kind of radically different artistic restatement.

@skanic Fuck man you should think before you speak, not even the guy who covers this song would think that. Any halfwit can pick up a fucking acoustic and combine the chords with some intermediate fingerstyling and cover a song. The magic of this song goes much beyond the chords and even though this is a great cover it cannot compare on any level to the original
