the blinking is a little off, can you try to rethink the blinking mechinism so that it is more beliievable? maby think outside the box on it instead of using conventional methods. maby a lever that is attached to the back of the lids and extend into the caranium with wights at the ands, and t get the desired action use a moder that pops a pin vertical so the lever goes up in the air and the weights bring the lids back to default more naturally.
