What's with all the animosity amongst you all. This is a beautiful ceremony, one which is full of love and kindness. There are many other's like it in different religions and backgrounds. Wiccans are full of love and respect for other people. Follow the Wiccan Rede, you would be wise to do so. It's similar to that of the ten commandments in the christian faiths. Hey before I write I'm putting out that I'm Christain (don't kill me). I just found that your ceremoies are very similar to my religion and it kinda puts a smile on my face. Perhaps before Romanization Christainity was just as beutiful, but May I ask one question to any wiccans. What's a maraige ceremony like, and is their anything I could use in my wedding that wouldn't offend my closed minded Christain family( knowing they are nieve)? May the Mother-Father God bless.

Handfastings are suppose to be unique with each coupling; there is no set ritual or ceremony, and while you can reference off a shared one, its always better to create your own with your life partner. I attended a Handfast where the Bride withheld being Wiccan from her in-laws. The prayers only slightly hinted the works of the Goddess, while it focused on the God. The Bride and Groom had a beautiful Handfasting still. Search YT for examples

dont worry about proverba1722 he/or she is always preaching at someone. i use to be christian but i am wiccan and have heard that an adult can have a wiccaning but all the rituals ive found are for baby's so were is there a ritual for an adult wiccaning. i love my new path it just feels so right for me. christianity never felt complete for me like wicca does. i started out studying on septmeber 11th of the year and i am now still studying and practicing and going to pagan meetings and rituals

@proverbs1722 how about this idea, we don't try to convert you, you should show the same respect to those who show you respect, the first 18 years of my life i went to church and prayed everyday for my family but in 13 years (started praying at 5), never was a prayer answered even tho i accepted him into my life and was baptized, read my bible a total of 9 times, every religion says you have to follow THAT one, but not this one. we have a respect for all living things, please show this to others

I used to be a member of a religious cult. They would talk in strange made-up languages, fall down on the floor when 'slain in the spirit', laugh manically and sing the same verses over, and over again until they were in a trance-like state. They believed that their G-d demanded human sacrifice which they would ritually re-enacted every Sunday.

Wiccans are full of love and respect for other people. Follow the Wiccan Rede, you would be wise to do so. It's similar to that of the ten commandments in the christian faiths. Hey before I write I'm putting out that I'm Christain (don't kill me). I just found that your ceremoies are very similar to my religion and it kinda puts a smile on my face. Perhaps before Romanization Christainity was just as beutiful, but May I ask one question to any wiccans. What's a maraige ceremony like, and is their anything I could use in my wedding that wouldn't offend my closed minded Christain family( knowing they are nieve)? May the Mother-Father God bless.

Handfastings are suppose to be unique with each coupling; there is no set ritual or ceremony, and while you can reference off a shared one, its always better to create your own with your life partner. I attended a Handfast where the Bride withheld being Wiccan from her in-laws. The prayers only slightly hinted the works of the Goddess, while it focused on the God. The Bride and Groom had a beautiful Handfasting still. Search YT for examples

I enjoyed this, I hope the baby is doing well now. Maybe we can find some consistency with Christians and Wiccans one day. Who knows, maybe God created the Earth so perfectly that he wants us to worship it in a slightly similar way that the Wiccans do. It means you can except diversity and you have tolerance even if you don't believe in what the others believe. Plus the whole car thing I honestly would earn it rather than recieve it as a gift or give it to some1 else more needing than me, but thats just me and my perspective. (.n_n.)

Like I always say Keep an open mind and an open heart and youll live a magickal life. Magickal meaning happy and fullfilled. I used to be a member of a religious cult. They would talk in strange made-up languages, fall down on the floor when 'slain in the spirit', laugh manically and sing the same verses over, and over again until they were in a trance-like state. They believed that their G-d demanded human sacrifice which they would ritually re-enacted every Sunday.
