those speakers can handle alot, i've had some JBL's for a house speakers, and i had a JVC receiver and man, very good sound and never busted on me, i had some pioneer speakers, and gave out like the 3rd week i had them, nice JBL's man, very good sound quality, those speakers are meant to handle abuse, don't listen to the other comments man

definitely bagging those speakers. but they're called loudspeakers for a a reason. if they've held up to 10 years of this they've payed for themselves. I always thought it wasn't the amount of movement out of your speaker, it was the amount of harmonic distortion that will blow them??

the audio set is good , but if i were you i would ditch the jbl speakers and get a pair od twin 15 inch cerwin vega series.other then that everything else is all good.harmon kardon is an excellent company.(think about it)

Now go buy a HT sub, and really shake the house up! I have a Parts Express Dayton 15". 1000W RMS. But those JBLs look nice compared to my ragged Kenwoods. :)

My dad bought them new about 10 years ago along with the sub and receiver and we had them upstairs and never used them so i brought them into my room and bought a cd changer for it and they still sound great.
