His last fight was a 3rd round win which shows it was NOT an all out crazy vicious pitbull style.. this would have been a first round win/loss. In conclusion, he seems to have found a nice balance between aggressiveness and technicality.
garcia was still his main man. Like he said, he went to roach just to get another perspective or the standup game. Getting it from someone as reputable as roach didn't hurt either. Of course, we can't credit his trainers only for him becoming so well rounded.. he himself is just getting better (with the help of his staff)
He was never scared.. that's what you people seem to not understand. I've been a loyal 100% arlovski fan for a decade now and I know him well. He was simply implying his new skills that he learned in terms of boxing. It's called being cautious and technical (aka smart). Only problem was, which numerous people informed him of, was that he was being a little over technical.
Just out of interest, does anyone know if this event is gonna be in a ring or a cage? Just think it might have a subtle influence on a couple of the matches
yea, his game does go down some without a cage cause he liked to hold people there and he would sprawl alot and used the cage too. they need to do away with the ring tho.
I think Rothwell will force Arlovski to "fight to win". Arlovski has boxing coach Freddie Roach in his corner and he will help elevate Arlovski to do real good.
It just amuses me how so many people are falling for this whole "arlovski isn't like he used to be" crap. He won his last 3 fights, who cares if he fought differently. There is no new soft arlovski, the pitbull will always be there and you'll see the quick word he makes of ben, who has a terrible record. Look at who he's fought.
Yea Rothwell has not been in the ring with top guys but this may show he's got what it takes. about having a terrible record I would have to disagree 29-5 is not bad 17 of those are knock outs and 10 subs with only 2 Decisions...that shows that he likes to end a fight. We think if he don't push it then he's going to be knocked out. thanks for the comment :) and for not name calling again cause thats kind of childish.
By a terrible record i wasn't referring to it number-wise, but by where the wins came from. Andrei will be the first time he'll be truly tested so we'll see come the 19th.

Because he pushed the fight, good to see the old Arlovski and not a guy scared to get KO'd.

Right, well that's Tim's chances gone down even further then :)
I respect Tim, he's a tough guy and an intelligent fighter but Fedor's going to demolish him
