@kapsukka That sounds so familiar. My mom and her friend were in Spain some time ago... they happened to sit at a café table near a British couple. The two then asked my mom "Are you Russian?". :\
FYI foreigners, calling a Finn "Russian" is actually considered an insult. ._. We've hated Russia for over 200 years.
@FelidaeWarrior It's finnish, the cake says "Yooaoww!! Sattuu!" meaning "It hurts!"... it was a funny little detail. I know because I speak both japanese and finnish :)
@FelidaeWarrior Didn't you notice he was reading a dictionary? :D Probably finnish-to-swedish or something. He just repeats what the cake says. Or at least that was what I got from it.
@FelidaeWarrior 2nd post... yeah, I payed closer attention, he takes the dictionary and goes like "Hmm, the cake said 'minua sattuu'" (I'm in pain)...
I can't recall any other show quite like 'The Muppet Show'. I remember watching it when I was a kid, but now I am an adult and it seems ten times funnier to me...it really is comedy for all ages..what a brilliant sense of comedy...it must have been a lot of fun putting these together.
I am swedish but i'm not at all offended in any way, i just think it's hysterical! thought it would have been a bit more fun if there would have been some swedish words mixed in his speach. I'm just astonished that there are people out there who think swedish sounds like that, because i sure don't ^^ he's hilarous though (;
@Krillol not unless they dubbed over him in Germany and that's the version you saw. The swedish chef speaks gibberish english with swedish tones and rhythms look it up.
@xxmirth well shyt im 27 and i still love the chef! i try to sing along with his little song in the beginning, but all i can make out is bork bork bork!! lol kinda sounds like he says it differently everytime
@amanda3725 I think everyone knows by now that the Swedish Chef doesn't actually speak swedish. Or any existing language, for that matter ;) It's just supposed to be funny.
@TheShadowwolf88 Too true... before I moved here (sweden) I used to wonder how much of it was nonsicle and real. lol. Nu vet jag bättre. (now I know better)
I have been looking at all the Swedish Chef skits on here. This is by far, the funniest one to me! I wonder if this one was inspired by John Belushi's Samurai skits (or perhaps the other way around?)
