  • Creepy... Gives Meh Chillz... :0

  • <3 Ophelia's song

  • I think this is my favorite Ophelia, though its drawn, the way the voice is done and everything, isn't exactly mad, but it just makes me feel the character best when shes not scream singing and running around like a freak, yeah, insane people do that, regardless, I like this Ophelia, even if shes a drawing, the voice for her is great <3

  • I felt for Hamlet when he realised it was Polonius he had killed, not the King, partly because he thought he'd achieved his goal and then found he hadn't, but also because it ruined any chance of a relationship with Ophelia.

  • what a nice song and a Beautiful voice too!!

  • I have a few questions! Please someone help me out? at 2.30, that part, why doesn't he love Ofelia?? did he?? Also, is he mad when his mother can't see the ghost of his father??

  • @l145j He's bitter because he knows her father made her hold him off. He tells her that if she can't accept affection, she might as well be a nun. And the ghost thing, I don't know. I think Shakespeare deliberately made a bit of a mystery of that.

  • hmm that ghost in HP7 part 2 lol is like Ophelia

  • Hamlet

  • @mistergoods Yes, Hamlet. And?

  • like the lion king

  • At 6:43, it says "Qphelia" instead of "Opheila".

  • It's obvious the animation was inspired by Kozintsev adaptation of 'Hamlet',1964.

  • thank u so much for posting, this really helps me with my humanities class!!

  • incredible nay genus

  • God, I think I hate Hamlet.

  • Thanks for putting up the video,it is of great help

  • "i love you NOT!...and be a NUN! enough said!!"

    OWNED!

  • I like these animations, but they cut so much out of the actual play. I'm reading this for my class and decided to watch the play being preformed in video form on youtube to better reinforce my memory of it. I guess they did so because of time constraints, thanks for posting this anyhow. I just thought I'd point this out for those who are merely watching this, and not reading it as well.

  • @Alazar0k Actually these versions were truncated because they were made for a juvenile audience, IIRC.

  • Oh, Ophelia. The poor thing. I love her mourning song though. It's very haunting but it has some sweetness in the key in which the notes were in.

  • "To be, or not to be, that is the question."

  • @rockinamber18 the famous quote

  • @doghartdon and the rest is scilence

  • absolutly fantastic Clips. I love this series

  • It's all Hamlet whenever I think of Shakespeare and it's all ' to be or not to be " when I talk of Hamlet.

  • Disney use lots of Shakespere stuff

Lion King= Uncle killing farther, and the Prince with Bad Uncle

Aladdin= Parrots called Iago, Iago is one of Shakesperes villains but I don't know what off someone tell me.

  • @evilgalore Iago is from Shakespeare's Othello :)

  • If you like King Lear, my other favorite Shakespeare play, check out the movie RAN by Akira Kurosawa--amazing rendition of one of Shakespeare's greatest.

  • this is a lovely little adaption... but... is it only me, that thinks Hamlet is a bit too melancholic in here?

he has the hell of a temper too, but this doesn't come out in this...

well, it doesn't matter. it's sweet anyway.

  • Poor Ophelia, I never knew shock could do that :(

  • I truly love this type of animation, the story fit's well with it, Ophelia suffered greatly, I love the song she sings, so sad...so sad...

  • True Hamlet is mean to Ophelia, but then again he is obssessed with the thought of revenge by killing his uncle who killed his father and I do belive he did not want to be mean to her. He did suspect that they were being watched and did as he thought was best. After all, he is acting as if he's mad so that no one will suspect what he is planing. And by being mean to Ophelia that only makes is acting more convincing, don't you think?

  • yo wat the hell the video isnt working !

  • They ruined those two soliloquys! GRRR! totally wrong order! to be or not to be is NOT supposed to be in the middle of what a rogue!

  • This is the best Ophelia I've seen yet! So sad and so brilliant! Tilda Swinton did a really good job with the voice.

  • I always get weepy when Ophelia appears - one of the most memorizing of Shakespeare's creation.

  • Wow!!

  • Hamlet was so mean to Ophelia!

  • she truly suffered the most i think : (

  • marvelous

  • so so so so helpful thankyou!
