  • I have to have a blood test once a year to make sure that the medicine I take isnt doing damage to my liver.

  • But the blood tests are based on sick population. What they say is normal, may not be ideal....

  • What problems does your blood work show? Did you say low DHEA, on the other vid, and low calcium?

  • Great vid as always!

    Thanks for great advice!

  • I like friends too. This is like watching TV except no one's trying to make me buy something. This should be a real TV-show.

  • Does our blood chemistry vary greatly, say from day to day, month to month, much like our blood pressure? You mention a yearly comprehensive test, would that be sufficient? Never having had one I'm thinking maybe I should start. Ah....but the thought of a needle is a strong deterrent!

  • Paul, next time you get your blood tests done with Dr Schandl, It would be great if we could see your results and explain each result. Most Raw Vegans don't ever show us their results. thanks

  • Ulcerative colitis, i feel for ya. I myself have been struggling with a digestive disorder that has the same effects as UC or Chrons. I dont have insurance so i have been unable to get professional help but recently i discovered Wheat Grass and its wonderfull. I add it to a whey shake/smoothie drink once in the morning and evening it helped me tremendously. Actually is the only thing that got me off immodium AD for 15 yrs. I was taking as many as 16 a day , feels so wonderful to feel better.

  • @Thyrinal My daughter has UC and she is really doing well with Traditional chinese medicine. Pl try it

  • I am self insured,

What I did was go to a ready clinic for a physical and then got a script for a CBC test and something else don't remember right off hand.

Any all of the cost me about $153 a lil discount for cash.

Went to Lab Corp to get the tests done.

They send them right to you and you can use the internet to figure out the results or go back to the Dr.

I am due now for bloodwork.

    Thanks for the Website recomendation

  • Monitor pH too. I highly recommend buying some pH tape from a health food store or online. Monitor your saliva and urine pH. In my experience there is a high correlation between health and these numbers. Yes, what you eat will affect the test results but you need to test a couple of times during the day for a few days and look for averages.

If you find yourself yellow consistently that is a problem and you should seek further testing and counseling in regard to diet and exercise.
