There relationship reminds me of Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe. Joe was protective of Marilyn trying to prevent people from taking advantage of her, she split because she thought he was to protective but that was what she needed, eventually she went back to him but the drugs and alchohol were to much and she died before being married. Randy was overprotective of Elizabeth to a point of being possesive but when she was free of that she wound up dying of drug abuse with Lex Lugar.
She represented the side of the wrestling world that is coincidentally sincere, beyond her beauty she was the face and the expression of the kindness that can exist in even the most arrogant brutes of a world that threatens to bring out the worst in us. In all the chaos and all the rage, she was the one who could persuade us to stand up and cheer for the joy she and Macho gave each other.

Well, the short version is that Lex Lugar had beat Elizabeth one night and the police were called to check into the problem. Several days later, she took a combination of painkillers and vodka, creating a fatal combination. Lex found her non-responsive and called 911 where efforts to revive her failed. Lex was responsible, IMHO, for her death due to his anger issues and laying hands on her in anger.
He didn't kill her, as much as it pains me to say it, she chose to do the thing she did. However he did beat her up a couple of times so I he last his balls in a fishing accident I wouldn't feel bad.

Savage (confirmed by everybody who ever worked with them) was admitingly possessive in a overprotective way. He treated her more like a little sister than the woman he loved. Where you get this "unhealthy way" is beyond me and is probably bullshit you just made up. Luger on the other hand was not only verbally, but openly physically abusive to Elizabeth.

Yes, even Sting said he had to stop Luger many times because he was physically abusive to Liz. As a matter of fact, Sting tells a story of how when Macho found out about Luger attacking Liz once that he went nuts and destroyed an entire hotel room and had to be physically restrained and sedated or he would've probably killed Luger. As a matter of fact when Liz died Bryan Adams said Savage went ballistic and again had to be restrained from going after Luger.
It's really sad hearing how abusive Luger was to Liz. I guess steroids make you do things you other wise wouldn't do, but that's still not an excuse to beat up a defenseless woman. I wish Savage did kick Luger's ass, but from what I've read and saw, Luger is already paying the price.

I haven't kept up with wrestling much since the early 90's, and I'm now just starting to get back into it a little thanks to the new Legends of Wrestlemania game.
I remember Miss Elizabeth and Randy Savage, and the Mega Powers tag team with Hulk Hogan, and the feud that went down between Savage and Hogan because Savage thought that Hogan had a thing for Elizabeth, and then their match at WM 5. what happened to Elizabeth? and Why?

I understood she died off drug overdose when she was living with Lex Luger. Some say it was his fault. She truly was a wrestling Diva, not like those sluts who work in the WWE today!! She was beautifull WITH her clothes on!!!

Today is May 1, 2009-it is the 6 year avviversary of Miss Elizabeth's death. She was such a wonderful person and its so hard to believe she's no longer with us. RIP.

Savage (confirmed by everybody who ever worked with them) was admitingly possessive in a overprotective way. He treated her more like a little sister than the woman he loved. Where you get this "unhealthy way" is beyond me and is probably bullshit you just made up. Luger on the other hand was not only verbally, but openly physically abusive to Elizabeth.

Thank you! I'm tired of people saying Savage abused Liz when he clearly didn't. He was protective of her much like Marc Mero was with Sable and Goldust was with Terri. Its natural for a man to watch over his wife. Savage wasn't perfect, I'm sure there are a lot of things he wish he could of done differently but I'm sure he treated Liz with respect unlike Luger.

Yes, even Sting said he had to stop Luger many times because he was physically abusive to Liz. As a matter of fact, Sting tells a story of how when Macho found out about Luger attacking Liz once that he went nuts and destroyed an entire hotel room and had to be physically restrained and sedated or he would've probably killed Luger. As a matter of fact when Liz died Bryan Adams said Savage went ballistic and again had to be restrained from going after Luger.

It's really sad hearing how abusive Luger was to Liz. I guess steroids make you do things you other wise wouldn't do, but that's still not an excuse to beat up a defenseless woman. I wish Savage did kick Luger's ass, but from what I've read and saw, Luger is already paying the price.

I love Miss Elizabeth but for crying out loud, she was a victim of HERSELF! Please be objective here folks. She left the wrestling business and got married to some dude for a short period of time, but came back out of her own free will. Is Lex an idiot? Absolutely! But, Elizabeth was an adult and she made choices that she can no longer take back. Just because she was demure and gorgeous does not make her any less to blame for her demise. It is unfortunate, because she was so special. RIP Liz.

"Supposed" Accidental overdose! Lex was charged with Domestic A/B.. THEY were having problems...Lex and Liz were drinking at home one night. There is speculation that HE could have OD'd her with her own meds in a drink! He IS a dirtbag, having multiple run ins with the law!

That was SO sad! I have forgot alot of this stuff. I miss Miss Elizabeth so much! It is so sad how young she died:( She will always be a huge part of my childhood. RIP Miss Elizabeth. Has Randy ever talked about her death? I know they split up but he loved her alot!

It's ashame that classiness died along with Miss Elizabeth as far as women in wrestling is concerned. She is without a doubt the #1 DIVA of all time. Even though she dressed mildly compared to the Divas of today she still looked far more sexier with more clothes on than the girls of today being half dressed. What's also amazing is she looked more beautiful at 40+ yrs old than the divas half her age. She's was definitely a ageless beauty taken way too soon. R.I.P

I love Miss Elizabeth Tributes. But why do 98% of these videos show her unhappy or looking sad? Someone needs to make a video Tribute of all her happy times and not focus too much of her looking sad or concerned, makes missing her seem that much sadder. :0(

I love Miss Elizabeth even before i knew she was in the WWE(wwf) I always thought it was cool that she was pretty without all the sex...one of the best female or male managers...WWE as went away from true Diva managers.
