As a Canadian, I watch a lot of American TV as half our TV channels originate in the US...having said that, it's REALLY hard to form an informative opinion of Americans, based on MSNBC or Fox "news" programs. EVERY one is so biased, either to the far left or to the far right. Now, I'm not saying Canada is any better, just that the American news media is so much more in the forefront. Ratings are of the most importance to these media outlets, NOT to be "fair and balanced" as they all proclaim.

Not only is the immigration system in American unbelievably flawed, but it's beurocracy leaves something to be desired, if you have no skills and no relatives in America you don't get in; simple as that. We were at war, and perhaps we had no right to be there. The iraqi's made Their choice with Their government as to how they wanted things to go, and fuck US if we didn't like it. We were in their land with tanks. Their choice was only taken badly by our government, at the time, because we wanted to control them to think the way we do. They don't have the money to run a country the way we do, and for that matter, neither do we. Our advice is shit. We'd be more credible if we were wiser.

As a Canadian, I watch a lot of American TV as half our TV channels originate in the US...having said that, it's REALLY hard to form an informative opinion of Americans, based on MSNBC or Fox "news" programs. EVERY one is so biased, either to the far left or to the far right. Now, I'm not saying Canada is any better, just that the American news media is so much more in the forefront. Ratings are of the most importance to these media outlets, NOT to be "fair and balanced" as they all proclaim.
