We are also cruel to our feed animals, keeping them in impossibly small pens in their own waste & fill them with hormones & antibiotics. We feed cows grain when they should be eating grass. The grain causes them to have ulcers in their stomachs which aside from increasing their pain also necessitates more antibiotics. We're pretty cruel as well but at least we don't believe that torture enhances flavor.

You can't make right by one wrong by pointing out another and I think this video and others like it showing animal cruelty (no matter the animal) is good for awareness so that maybe someday in the future, people everywhere will hopefully stop this madness!

Well dogs love humans most of the time they would prefer humans over other dogs, they evolved to. Dogs need us for protection , and shelter they can't survive on their own unlike pigs and cows. even though I think eating those are wrong too.

@Danny022479 Its really about peoples pets being stolen and that they are tortured extremely because of a sick misguided belief that it improves taste and healthyness, when infact the opposite is true. If they are treated as well as livestock, then there is less of an argument. Ihave seen dogs skinned alive, hanged slowly to prolong death, cats boiled alive, because of a mix of apathy to their suffering and that misguided and wrong belief about tatste etc.

@ThatBosnianGuy Pigs are smarter than dogs and can be domesticated and trained to do a number of tricks yet we still eat them. Cows ARE domesticated and are quite intelligent. They can remember the faces of hundreds of different cows. They have different personalities and can perform complex social interactions, forming friendships and holding grudges against other cows. They are also known to mourn the loss of family members. Do your homework before calling someone a dumbass!

I have to wonder if this is true. Dog meat is so expensive and distinctive tasting that I doubt that it would be used as a substitute meat for pork or beef. Most folks that don't eat dog would not like the taste. It is as distinctive as goat meat is from beef. It is gross. It would be like serving beluga caviar when you have cat fish eggs instead. I have to wonder if there is an element of xenophobia in this case.

@PLEASANTGIFFT Dog meat has been tested and proven to have a higher fat content than other "livestock" which instead of being healthy and curing of disease (the reason some give for eating dog) it has actually been linked to causing heart attacks, high blood pressure and so on. I'm not trying to justify the slaughter of any animal by this, but this is one example (other than emotional status we hold for dogs) why people shouldn't eat dogs

Where I live, I accidentally ate char sue dog at a Chinese restaurant and it tasted good. Its only one night I happened to pass by and noticed the chefs bringing in stray dog from the road but oh well foods food....

It must be struggling mightily in addition to wailing in pain. That shows delight in their suffering. Luckily, the screams alerted neighbors as well.

It is either that, or what you have said is true and they really did do it for their own enjoyment. My bet is on the method of thinking that goes on in China today, that the animal must feel pain for the meat to taste its very best.

We are also cruel to our feed animals, keeping them in impossibly small pens in their own waste & fill them with hormones & antibiotics. We feed cows grain when they should be eating grass. The grain causes them to have ulcers in their stomachs which aside from increasing their pain also necessitates more antibiotics. We're pretty cruel as well but at least we don't believe that torture enhances flavor.
