"Fundamentally, god is an invention of the human being, respectively, of the human brain, whereby, in the human being, over millions of years, the imaginary divinity has been inherited in a form of schizophrenic, epileptic delusion and has established itself in the temporal lobes as well as in the parietal lobes. Religious experiences which arise thereby constitute forms of schizophrenic delusion and are the result of a genetically inherited religious belief. Billy Meier ,Theyfly.com
memories from my youth, thanks. I was in the 1970´s looking at this movie. It was a big happening those days here in Finland like Sound of Music and Gone wit the Wind.
The point is that there is no human face that could represent the face of Jesus. Instead of that, the director shows Jesus from the back & the Roman centurion. It can not be seen well in this video, but when centurion sees Jesus, his face reflects feelings of surprise, wonder, awe, admiration, weakness, fury... In this way the director creates the image of Jesus in each viewer individually. Ingenious, isn’t it? The expression on Charlton Heston’s face completes that image. That's the point!
Is this BR or HD quality?
