  • I did an ala run today and had an idiot just cluster Ala for a while, then when he ran out of cluster shots he stopped and went all the way to the other side of the map like a retard basically saying without words "Ok I've done my job, you guys finish it.". I have a new rule that I've adapted from you, any time I see a what seems to pierce gunner, I call them a retarded coward until they leave. I DO NOT like pierce/clust gunners, it makes it boring, and insults good gunners everytime its done.

  • This is likely a very idiotic thing to post but i feel like you are the type of invidvidual that has some understanding for my position. I consider myself to be a very mediocre player. I can beat any monster reliably but I'm far from as good as people like you. However I am glad i'm not that good. I enjoy feeling the intensity of an ala or jho battle. Feeling like you're constantly on the verge of death. Having to think about every move and every item. Do you ever feel like that?

  • @Ifeno I used to, before I learned about the game mechanics and broke it all down to a process, as mentioned in the video. Now dying just frustrates me lol. Especially when attempting with Heroics.

  • @CaptainVulgarity yea i figured as much. Here's another possibly stupid question for ya: Do you miss being a noob / mediocre player at all? Are you waiting for an insane new monster hunter game to come out and totally kick your butt or do you enjoy being highly skilled at the game and see the learning stage as more of a hump or burden that must be overcome in order to "get to the good stuff"?

  • @Ifeno I enjoy the challenge of learning a new monster type yeah. Though eventually I do like to become proficient at what I do and learn how to effectively kill every monster in the game. I kind of prefer to do that by hand though, as opposed to reading gameFAQs, at least beat the final boss without looking up a guide.

  • hey i know your probably a nice guy and all outside of MH3 by why does being hardcore about MH = that whole sorta elitist attitude. honestly i stopped playing MH because of all the hardcore talking down to other folks who where just getting above like HR56 for some reason they thought i had to the same hardcore elitist attitude that they did, but i just REALLY REALLY like MH but not anymore :(. cause of vids and commentary like this. how come you just cant play the game with whom ever...

  • @ShawnSavage07 For people like myself who are proficient at something-game or outside skill-we prefer to compete against or cooperate with others who are around our skill level because of our elevated standards; for ourselves and our teams. I do make some exceptions for friends and subscribers however, and I NEVER bash people. Just critique or offer suggestions for improvement.

Trust me, I've been buddies with people who pawned HR 46 friends off on me for help with ala. Not fun.

  • @thejamaicaterror It wasn't Shepard who did that segment, it was me. But yes, this is the same method. It's pretty common in the proficient community.

  • @billybobjho lol i pay absolutely no attention to hammer people usually since i suck at it so i havent seen it much before :P

  • Hey Blade, I was referred to this video by a friend of mine because you mentioned Gale and Muffin (<-- Me). I'm assuming you are referring to me, being an ala solo fanatic... but as far as I know we've never met, and my channel has no videos (yet!). So I'm just curious, where have you heard my name?

Great job btw, I like your channel, definitely a sub!

  • @Wonderball68 I've run into you once or twice in greed. You were in the middle of some ala solo runs the first time. Second time I noticed you had beaten Xavier's Heroics record so I guess it left an impression. Gale told me a fair bit about you as well; the 14 min normal solo and the 2x fortify heroics record.

  • mfw I have 3 clust god tali's I don't use them :l

  • karting hr999's all over greed 1

  • @UltimaFlareKnight I'll take a carter that does significant damage over the moochers who run around in circles making the monsters difficult to hit and needlessly extending the time of quests in general.

  • Makes you wonder what you think about people who hack for items and weapons so they play for fun, and not grinding for plates, gems, and talis .

  • @BlackKnight03 Hacking talis, I can understand. I don't do it, but I can understand. A good tali is damn hard to come by. Hacking items for weapons and such? Not so much. I'd rather become proficient when I like a game, savor the feeling of 'earned' victory and such. That's just my view though.

  • hey is that the method socialdissonance did on a monster hunter university thingy in his podcast? also, nice vid, i suck at hammer though

  • I appreciate the channel promoting lol

Very nice solo, I didn't realize you hammered as well!

  • @billybobjho Hammer's my second most preferred weapon. I typically don't use it around other hammerers or others in general. Too many knockbacks = Annoyed team & less overall damage.

  • I missed you

  • 9:36 I completely agree.

  • "Fail spin horn break" was pretty neat. xD

  • Wow, personally I thought it was nearly impossible to solo Alatreon.. CaptainVulgarity your the man, sure people say they can solo it, but I have yet to see them and they possibly could of used hacks. Again.. Your the man
