  • baby saw :D cute xD

  • May have changed since your review, but the ms180 has the same engine as the 170. Only change is easy 2 start recoil system, and tool less chain tightener

  • im 14 and its a good beginer saw!

  • I emailed Stihl and they told me this saw was made in China, can you tell by using this saw, how will it hold up in the long term? By the way your videos are great I'm learning a lot. I'd like to go into garden tool repair and sales when I'm older.

  • @thealed29 the ms 170 is for light duty homeowner grade, therefore it will not last long under hard service

  • @donyboy73 So would it be fine to cut firewood during autumn/winter, and occasionally cut down small diameter trees, d'you reckon?

  • @thealed29 yes but not like 20 cords of wood per year

  • @donyboy73 Well I'd be using like 1 or perhaps 2 cords of wood (highly unlikely) so this saw might be right for me. I have another one but it's a top handle McCulloch so it's not really ideal for logging.

  • My dad has the Farm Boss 260! That's a beast, but Stihl is the best brand I think! :-D

  • @mstruckerboy the ms260 is a nice pro saw

  • @donyboy73 Yes, I like it! :-D

  • @mstruckerboy Also, the Stihl saws are very well balanced. Hold up a Sears Craftsman or a cheap Canadian Tire saw and then hold up the Stihl, you'll see the difference as to the weight distribution. It's an added benefit of the Stihl quality.

  • @adrienj67 Yes, they are pure quality right true! :-D

  • i cant wait to get my new ms180

  • @GarrettJDB they are nice
