  • I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you on that. I tried that a couple times with my good bow, and it snapped--right at the ferrel part or to a point where I could no longer tighten/loosen the bow with the screw. My bow is not meant for that. Just lightly rosining the bow like any other string professional would say is ideal.

  • @BrettHuestisChannel If you rosin a violin bow that much, it's probably going to sound pretty squeaky. At least, that's what happened when I over-rosined my violin bow. >.<
