Good question. The difference between the two brands we carry, is that the Victor is made in the US and is of very high quality using the materials. The cheaper version are made in China and are made more cheaply. If you want a trap that can be used for a lifetime of trapline trapping, invest in the Victor traps. If you have a nuisance animal once every couple of years the cheaper trap will work just fine.
on your third set the 330 you forgot to snap back a hook before taking your hands off:P it happent to me one time and the trap colapsed on my fingers with only 1 spring
I'm 14 and i use scissor setters and they are relatively easy to use!

You could use a 220 for beaver, but typically the 280 or 330 are preferred.
