Sweet video guys and love the metallica tune that went so well with it.Was just at the upper niagara muskie fishin and lost a 36 incher or better at the boat on my 2nd cast!Was fortunate to land little guy and a couple of smallies later in the day.Goin back soon,its such a rush!
I've just started to get into MUSKY fishing, and I've yet to catch one. But, I'm not letting that put me down. What I would suggest doing is doing a lot of research on the fish you are fishing for (in this case, MUSKY).
I'm going MUSKY fishing next weekend, I hope I'll catch one! Good Luck and Tight Lines! :D
i'd suggest hiring a guide because they'll take you out on the water and teach you all about muskies and how to use the different lures and what kind of tackle to use for muskies. its a great sport but at times VERY challenging sport, which makes it all more rewarding when you catch one. good luck!
Well first it depends on where you are fishing for musky.
Fishing for musky is definitely worth it. I have only caught one musky myself it was a 7 pounder but they are one beautiful fish to pull out the water.
you guys r so stupid!! wisconsin sucks!! they have no big fish they caught 1 big muskies thats it come to minnesota and you will see big fish wisconsin people are trying so hard to be like minnesota in muskie fishing but its not gonna happen!
i fish that lake a lot! there are some monsters in there, usually too many poeple out to do any good, it get s a lot of pressure especilly during the summer
If you petition the local watershed authorities maybe it can be imported and stocked. Musky will tolerate muddy water and warmer temperatures but otherwise are the same as Pike.
MUsky fishing is the best me and my friends go all the time and its the best time and we catch big ones over and over again they always say that if you have the patience level to keep fishing than youll be happy.....
man i love fishing and i can't wait till winter is over so i can get back out on my boat and fish for my pike and muskie still looking for a big one 15lb pike and 25lb muskie!!!!! (nice video)
everytime i watch the video i get pumped..Its good to finally see a video that has clean CPR. Im only 15 but i know a lot. Ive caughten muskies and my biggest is 50inch. I like to watch this video to make me learn more.
nice tunes. nice fish. nice boat. nice net. nice time. can't wait till june. i did'nt lose my muskie only bug untill 3 grand in tackle and more on reels and rods and about number 200 or so released. now you can find me even ''targeting'' crappies lol. last part of this year was a trophy walleye hunt, released several. but i still casted for esox masquinongy regularly. man i'm pumped. congrats
If your At level 3, Im sure you would have pics of 2, and 3. I'd love to see them!! I've been playing level 2 for 3 seasons now and cant seem to break it. I've caught alot in the 40" to 46" range here in Northern NY. I know its just a matter of time, maybe next season!!!!
hey musk1e, oviously you have never caught a musky! and if you have and you werent excited, sell your musky equipment and start playing golf cause you're in the wrong sport!
that net, my friend, isn't cuz they are pussies. they are using that net so they have less likelyhood of hurting the fish. which of the looks of it reached over 50 inches and averaged in the 40's. it avoid slime removal and splitting of the fish's fins. which though they sound of little importance to the fish, could be life threatening.
believe me my friend. your arms will be sore. there is enough power in these fish to leave you dead tired. the rods are necesarry and often range from the shorter (6 and 1/2 feet) to the longer (8 to 8 and 1/2 feet) its all necessary to catch the most amazing freshwater fish. they are stronger than northerns (tho harder to catch they are often times much bigger wen caught.)
lol. i hear you man. all we got is shabonna. my brother has the walley record for there, but we were fishing for fricken musky! lol. we got shelbyville tho. that's only 6 hours away. lol. or kinkaid.
My only experience with Musky, actually Tiger Musky (Pike/Musky Hybrid) was in NY, Rockland Lake, muddy water, summer, using C.P.Swing blade about 5ft deep medium retreive, in 15ft depth around submerged pilings, large trout size, on 4lb test, on a glass ultralight 6ft trout rod....37in, 12.5 lb Musky...took 25min to land...had to do the 'back walk' to beach him. One run almost stripped the spool!!!
THEY LOOK SO PRO

Hey, someone please answer.
I was born in chicago, and since i was 6 my family went to wisconsin to fish every summer.
Now we live in Texas, but we still go.
I'd rather catch lots of fish than one huge one.
But I've never caught a musky.
Is fishing for musky worth it?
Is it likely to catch at least two in a day?
Please get back to me.

Ha yeah that would be cool, but I think I'm gonna be lynched by the local environmentalists.
They don't take kindly to those kinds of ideas.
But hey, one can always ask right. ;)

Exoshunter951, I guess it depends on what level your at in meeting your goals. I am striving for level 4. He just seems a little over excited.
1 = release a musky
2 = release a 50 incher
3 = release a 40lber
4 = release a 50lber
5 = catch and release the next world record.

no its not illegal to keep them or catch them theyre just old fish and they dont taste all that good and there are alot of bones
400hp 4 years ago
By the way, is it illegal to catch/keep muskies? Because just about everyone seems to let them go. Tastes bad or something?
rsuriyop 4 years ago
I heard they taste good from my friends dad but they let them go cause the next time that ones nabed it will be alot bigger
conmanduck 4 years ago
Don't taste real good and are known to have a high mercury content

Nice! Bet those things could kill a small shark or barracuda if the three were ever to survive in the same kind of water.
