Sweet video guys and love the metallica tune that went so well with it.Was just at the upper niagara muskie fishin and lost a 36 incher or better at the boat on my 2nd cast!Was fortunate to land little guy and a couple of smallies later in the day.Goin back soon,its such a rush!

no musky is fun to fish and you dont have agood chance but go to like the tigercat flowage and then you can get musky well fishing for bass and so on

I was born in chicago, and since i was 6 my family went to wisconsin to fish every summer.

Now we live in Texas, but we still go.

I'd rather catch lots of fish than one huge one.

But I've never caught a musky.

Is fishing for musky worth it?

Is it likely to catch at least two in a day?

I've just started to get into MUSKY fishing, and I've yet to catch one. But, I'm not letting that put me down. What I would suggest doing is doing a lot of research on the fish you are fishing for (in this case, MUSKY).

I'm going MUSKY fishing next weekend, I hope I'll catch one! Good Luck and Tight Lines! :D

i'd suggest hiring a guide because they'll take you out on the water and teach you all about muskies and how to use the different lures and what kind of tackle to use for muskies. its a great sport but at times VERY challenging sport, which makes it all more rewarding when you catch one. good luck!

Well first it depends on where you are fishing for musky.

Fishing for musky is definitely worth it. I have only caught one musky myself it was a 7 pounder but they are one beautiful fish to pull out the water.

If you petition the local watershed authorities maybe it can be imported and stocked. Musky will tolerate muddy water and warmer temperatures but otherwise are the same as Pike.

Exoshunter951, I guess it depends on what level your at in meeting your goals. I am striving for level 4. He just seems a little over excited.

1 = release a musky

2 = release a 50 incher

3 = release a 40lber

4 = release a 50lber

5 = catch and release the next world record.

If your At level 3, Im sure you would have pics of 2, and 3. I'd love to see them!! I've been playing level 2 for 3 seasons now and cant seem to break it. I've caught alot in the 40" to 46" range here in Northern NY. I know its just a matter of time, maybe next season!!!!

that net, my friend, isn't cuz they are pussies. they are using that net so they have less likelyhood of hurting the fish. which of the looks of it reached over 50 inches and averaged in the 40's. it avoid slime removal and splitting of the fish's fins. which though they sound of little importance to the fish, could be life threatening.

About the rods; If they didnt use them they would not be able to use the lure they took the pike on...

believe me my friend. your arms will be sore. there is enough power in these fish to leave you dead tired. the rods are necesarry and often range from the shorter (6 and 1/2 feet) to the longer (8 to 8 and 1/2 feet) its all necessary to catch the most amazing freshwater fish. they are stronger than northerns (tho harder to catch they are often times much bigger wen caught.)

My only experience with Musky, actually Tiger Musky (Pike/Musky Hybrid) was in NY, Rockland Lake, muddy water, summer, using C.P.Swing blade about 5ft deep medium retreive, in 15ft depth around submerged pilings, large trout size, on 4lb test, on a glass ultralight 6ft trout rod....37in, 12.5 lb Musky...took 25min to land...had to do the 'back walk' to beach him. One run almost stripped the spool!!!
