at least i got to go on once before they put the Pyromaniax thing up. it was pretty freaky, the aspect of sweet and innocent Little Red Riding Hood going to see her grandmother in the woods while a Blood-Thirsty Wolf was stalking her seemed a better theme fit for Log-Ride.

Pyromaniax....well, radioactive materials in a log based ride.........???.....some poeple may be total idiots, but it doesnt take a nutshell that those two themes DO NOT add up! Couldnt they come up with something else, like "Mad man's Cabin"?

Trapped in a cabin seeing your friends being torn apart in the Mad man's macheinery (the saws, gears, and what-not). Then you make a run for it through the woods where you get lost, encountering hungry bears and wolves, along.....

(up the hill torwards the final drop) There is a Police helicopter waiting to get you out of there (the effect is that ropes are pulling you up to the copter aka, going up to the choper) . Then, a costumed man thats supposed to be the mad man pops near the drop out with an ax making jabs at the air, then you hear the crack of a rope (the one thats pulling you up) and then you fall down into the waters below.........

@BrickstarRunner well that happened before in the early years of the haunt, radioactive materials on a log ride called toxic terror back in 1988 (later on there was a radioactive maze in the haunted shack) then it returned to the log ride in 2007

Thanks. Like I said in the description, though, it wasn't an issue with being worried about water damage to my camera, just that I didn't have lens cleaning tissue with me. I taped Pyromaniax, the replacement to Red Moon Massacre, last year and will be posting the video soon.

The only thing that lacks in talent right now is there writers of there shows peauticuly one and two Dr. Cleaver and the hanging. The hanging has lost its edge all together it is not fun to go to anymore. I loved it when hell raiser took in charge and freedy ruled the stage and dont forget jason and Michael Meyers who kicked ass.

Hmm, I've read that the prohibition against swimming when you have tubes in your ears is kind of an old wives' tale (and certainly if swimming were okay, then the mild amount of splashed water on the Log Ride should be okay). Try Googling for '"ear tubes" water' and read the result on DrGreene dot com. You might want to discuss that with your doctor.

I own earplugs but it's not a wive's tale, when I got them put it the doctor said if I got water in my ears I would get an ear infection.

Well, perhaps "old wives' tale" is an overstatement, but from what I've read, while some doctors still insist you shouldn't get any water in your ears, others are backing off on this, since recent studies indicate no difference in the number of ear infections between people with intubated ears who swim vs. those who don't. Anyway, food for thought.

I ordered that DVD and was pretty disappointed with it.

It started off great, some awesome back history into Knotts....but how in the hell do you do a DVD about Knotts Scary Farm & not ONE mention of Elvira?

Really lame imo.

The last 3/4 of the DVD was just a mess, all over the place & rather boring interviews with behind the scenes people who really don't have much of anything interesting to say.

I agree, the interviews were very so-so, but I did like all the monster footage.

I have to admit, a friend burned a copy for me. 30 bucks is a lot to fork out.

I know Knotts didn't exactly treat her well when they let her go. Sorta just blew her off saying the park was going for a more family friendly setting. I've been to every Knotts Scary Farm since and if anything the haunt has become way more hardcore, especially the mazes. So that didn't make much sense to me.

Just as long as they get it fixed by October for the new Pyromaniax attraction. (Fire effects and collapsing roofs are probably not a good combo, after all.)
