when i saw my sister's keeper i sat on a bench after the movie waiting for my mom to go to the restroom and and older man came and sat by me.... then told me he just got out of a tear jerker... and i said "really? me too" then he told me the movie and we had just seen the same thing... i kinda thought, "that's nice, he went with his wife or something" then he said, "yea, my older sister died of cancer so it really got to me" then he started to cry.... i felt so bad for him :(

rightt....umm this song was used in my sisters keeper and woah it really suited the whole film i cried right the way through the book ...and the film but then again i dont think there was a dry eye in the cinema and it was the proper uncontrollablee sobbing. i was a bit dissapointed that they changed the endng in the film but it was still really moving and welll....REALY sad. butt was definatly must see and a must read ! x

I love the song, and you did a great job on the video. But I don't think they go together. This version of the song is meant to be really sad, and I just see the girls in OC as girls who are spoiled and do have fun. I think Greg's version of the song is meant to be a sad version of a song for girls who don't have fun.

Excellent analysis. I'm old enough to remember when Cyndi Lauper's version first came out, and this is the perfect musical comment upon it, 25 years later. It's not the OC, it's "what happened in their lives during those 25 years". It's not about "happy", it's about looking back on your life.
