I rechecked the songwriting credits and Parnell and all the Hot Links are listed as I thought they were. Even so, because of the opening piano riff and the way the piano is so prominent, I long thought this was Kevin's baby to begin with. The whole band smoked it. One of the best instrumentals ever.

I always thought McKendree was the instigator for this song. I think he said that Chuck Leavell was one of his biggest influences.

@bayoublaster. Totally agreed. Kevin McKendree wrote this song and plays it when he tours with Delbert McClinton. One of the greatest live jams you'll ever see

Kevin McKindree is the ultimate piano player. He and Parnell were up for a Grammy for this tune. What an instrumental masterpiece!
