Asinine. No other way to say it. Our profession is full of these jackasses who love to use "charity" as an excuse to stroke themselves off in public.
The picture snapping was very annoying, either take video or pictures not both at the same time. It was rather annoying and frankly, it ruined the video for me. Would've rather watched a MOVIE since this is a video website......
@ZBeeb i like the others more without the pic taking but at the same time if u didlikemaybe 1 picat the end thatd beaintresting finish but it seemed to lag a lil with each snapshot too i do hope you got some intresting pics though
ahhh... a 1966 Ford 390 and a 1966 Mustang fastback. those were the days when code 3 vehicles had REAL sirens; electronic ones were still someone's dream. nice video
It was a charity event, they went from Moffet Field in Sunnyvale (or Mountain View) through various fire stations along the peninsula. At each station the local fire fighters would present the charity with the funds they raised, and one or two of their fire engines would join the relay and continue along. The day ended at San Francisco.
Engine 108 is stationed about 2 miles from me. Was this from a recent fire or a demonstration? The ambulances from the 60's and the old cop cars was strange to see.

Yeah, I know... most of my work is stills, I am still experimenting with video.
Here's the problem, keeping ahead of a fast moving convoy running Code 3 with police escorts is next to impossible... I was just able to get myself into position with the handheld camera, didn't have a chance to get the tripod/video camera out too?

@Scnermn2009 You are right, it didn't come out so well...
There are however some much better sequences without the picture taking in the rest of my vieos, this year's Burn Relay videos are much better!

The good news of course is the video of the first leg doesn't have that problem.

Sorry about that.

@ZBeeb -- was this taken using the video setting on a still camera?
BaltimoreAndOhioRR 1 year ago
@BaltimoreAndOhioRR Yes, it was taken with a still camera, obviously that's a little annoying here.
