  • sounds like my dad

  • Fucking Epic!

  • I actually have this CD. I know all the words and sing along to all the songs. Truly an awesome album. This is from a time when rock required true musicianship, not just strumming a few chords and screaming.

  • Heh if I was the dad, I'd freaking deck him for the way he was talking >_> I love the song, definitely XD

  • this is one of the weirdest videos ive ever seen, but weird in a good way.

  • I think Matthew and Gunner is so frigin HOT!!!! even today they look hot.

  • AGREED!

  • I remember watching their dad in "Rio Bravo" with John Wayne. Damn, how time flies. Rocking songs always rock, just like classic westerns!

  • That would have been cool if he met his dad at that concert and got his ass kicked for wearing that bandana.

  • hahah

  • Nelson Rocks> If you have never seen them or met them then keep your comments to yourself. Very great band and people.

  • uh huh huh huh, err is this vixen,, uh huh huh

  • Fuck! Nelson rocks...

  • "All he does is sit in his room and listen to his TAPES!" LMFAO! I'm still constantly buying CDs for all the tapes I had in the 80's. This song takes me back.

  • rulex

  • I got off work and went to Buffalo wild wings tonight as I usually do,.. and some guy from celebrity fit club was there and named nelson.. I realize now how big his dad was with music. I never realized he would be in Round Lake Beach Illinois drinking with some friends. I don't remember them much though and I loved the 80s.

  • I'd forgotten how much I loved this song! And the twins look even better now than at this time. <3

  • Kick -ASS song... I love this video, too....

  • A very sweet and positive song!!! I love it!

  • They're just like their dad, play Rhythm and then have another dude come on and do a thematic killer guitar solo. I love Rick Nelson and Nelson.

  • what a song - remember first time i heard this i was about 10 on a radio station called Atlantic 252 it was the only radio station that played this in the uk and ireland and trying to find the song to buy was impossible at the time - top tune :)

  • An they just keep getting better! Still singing, still touring after all these years. Still inspiring. This song got me through my teen years. Love Me Today is getting me through the death of my Grandfather.

Even today, it's still great music with a great message. I will always love Nelson!

  • long live pop, and glam metal.

  • long live GLAM ROCK

  • the late 70s to early 90s was the era of real rock

  • I got made fun of for liking Nelson in 1992. They called me gay, because hey, I liked glam metal as opposed to crappy-ass grunge music or rap. Look about 15 years into the future at music we have now. Who's the gay one now? Ha. :P

  • You can get the last laugh, because I gaurantee you that most of the women in their mid to late 20s and 30s today would much rather you put this stuff on in the car than rap or grunge.

  • I agree with you this music is awesome my taste in music (Nelson, Alice Cooper, and Kiss) has disgusted some people who have a lame taste in music (Jonas brothers, Hannah Montana, and Flo rida). I was not alive at the time our interests in music were big but i am proud that i love this music

  • fuck, im confused already....is this a rock video? or a shampoo commercial??

  • Not too bad for a "Hair Metal" song, really.

  • Remnants of really great rock music... I remember I was in my senior year when this was a biiig hit (that was in 91)

  • I am so glad I still have the Original CD in mint condition of this album because to this day I still enjoy these songs , and I was able to actually meet the two brothers after their concert at the orange county fair one year that my youngest sister had also came along with me too - she of course was in love with Gunnar , or Matthew , or the other way around but I told her "they are both here in front of you " and they noticed her cheeks turn red !

  • I still have the cassette. I still love their music! It's sad that many people don't like their songs and say bad comments about them. It's great that you met them!

  • Yep, this is scripted (not a real concert). Their REAL concerts did NOT have real dudes in the audience. What are they kidding??????????????

  • Great band. Nice to hear even after all these years. Even better than I remember. Reminds me of Cheap Trick in a good way. Has a similar sound but rocks it up a notch.

  • "Saldiva" you hilarious bastard, haha.....

I just read what ya read when you uploaded this video "everything sucks, let`s all suicide together, yeah"

that made me LOL so hard, LMAO!!!

  • "lets all suicide together"..yeah that was classic :)

pretty much sums up grunge and various other bland talentless crap of similar ilk that floated around in the 90s

  • remember long epic videos like this back when they still played music on MTV instead of gay ass teenybopper shit like "The Hills"????

I hate the shit of today that passes for music.

I remember Nelson fans got made fun of cuz compared to Motley Crue and Dokken it was kinda weak but compared to today's shit Nelson is like the Beatles or Rolling Stones.

    2009 = donkey ass music!!!

  • WORD. Especially the "Rap" nowadays. It's become today's Pop. UGH!!

  • Yeah....But then Rap killed Grunge off and now Ive had to deal with that shit for the last 15yrs. I think this is a hell of a lot better than Rap....

  • Yeah... and then the lead singer decided to off himself. So glad THOSE days are rid of.

  • Good thing Nirvana killed off this crap. Totally ridiculous.

  • i wish the 80s would comeback....

  • Beautiful song with a great message. The Nelson Twins are so talented. My favorite song from them!! xoxo

  • everything sucks, let's suicide together, yeah...

  • big baby

  • wow, i've been looking for this clip too long

  • LMAO.....calm you fool!

  • I used to hate on Nelson back in the day, but damn, these guys have talent. I can't say how refreshing it is to hear these songs again, especially after hearing what passes for "music" today. Long live the 80's and early 90's.

  • I agree, but let';s not forget the 70's! When it comes to music, the mid 70's thru the early 90's are untoucable!

  • Wow... I had completely forgotten how good this song is. MUCH better than "Love And Affection" as far as the message the lyrics are conveying. This video is an A+ too compared to the garbage I see today. If it wasn't for 80s and 90s music, this world would suck lol. :)

  • WTF? Why would u compare Jonas brothers *gag* to Nelson? Those jonas teeny whatever u wanna call them suck, Nelson is real music!

  • I actually have always dug this song...I think it's great, no kidding. This was one of my faves back in the day, lots of good memories!

  • Tube la suerte de conocer esta maravillosa y optimista cancion y hasta ahora la recuerdo

i wak lucky to heard this marvelous song in my country and still remember it.....a very optimistic melody.

  • Man, nelson kicks ass, but there's too much unnecessary gayness in their songs

  • LOL, sorry to say so, but you´re right, what the hell is with this dude with a gigantic poster of these two guys? LOL...

  • haeuaehuaeh yeah, that's weird :/

  • Wait, the Matrix took inspiration from a NELSON VIDEO?? RED PILL BLUE PILL??? FTW!!!!!

  • How many friggin guitars do they have on that stage? I counted atleast four!

P.S. The guy who said he was too ashamed to tell his Black Sabbath friends that he liked this song, absolutely rules. Hilarious story.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow you people are RUDE. Why listen to music just to bash it? Huh? Tell me that you shit heads. Nelsons forever! WHOO!

  • NOT an 80s song

  • Close enough.

  • Ha! That's from "THE MATRIX"! Love that movie trilogy..what a great story with awesome actors! Hugo Weaving was sooo mean..best madman ever!

  • 1:27 "You take the blue pill -- the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill -- you stay in wonderland. And I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes"

  • The guy at the beginning reminds me of back to the future Biff. "Hello..Son" Helloooo Mcfly.

  • The funny thing, is that their drummer used to play in the Vinnie Vincent Invasion with Dana Strum and Mark Slaughter.

  • another great song from the early '90s vault.. this song was CONTINUALLY playing in my walkman when I went cycling! Love Nelson! Wonder if they are still singing..?

  • they are still singing

  • thank you, DaveClark72 :)

  • I love the song but why does the video revolve around a guy if the lyrics are talking about a girl?

  • Comment removed

  • Not to sound emo but this song gets me through alot of shit that happens to me. A lot of 80's songs do that, like most of the songs by Candy, and unlike this screamo bullshit that just makes people angry about killing people and crap. It's sensless. But this is ONE KICK ASS SONG

  • may 1991 I got hit by a semi and this song continued to pay while i waited for the ambulance!Thank You for my gift! Of LIfe! X O X O X O ... Jen from Saskatchewan, Canada

  • Did Ricky Nelson give Gunnar and Matthew an indian and peyote when they were young? What is going on with this video. That poor kid walks into the purple-lighted secret crap show starring Nelson.

  • I hate to tell this domidick but I just saw Nelson at Rocklahoma and they kicked ass........

  • What're you talking about "everything sucks, let`s all suicide together, yeah" is my favorite song

  • i know matt personally. i recently recieved some studio equipment from him and he is a very good person...

  • this song rocks i miss the 80's a lot . I wish there was such a real life time machine i would go back to the 80's if i could tomorrow lololololo

  • was this song like extreme late 80s' or very early 90s?

  • I think this song came out in the late eighties. I never admitted I liked this song to my friends. They were all into Black Sabbath , ACDC, Judus Priest.

  • What a fucking great song!

  • i love this band!!!

    im only 15 and i love 80's 90's rock!!

and plus their songs are fun to play!!lol :D

  • I did not get his autograph... I didn't want to be "that guy".

  • wow awesome... I remember this song back in the day when i was 16.... love this song!!!

  • ganda ano? pampatulog ko rin yan noon sa saudi arabia

  • CLASSIC! I love this song! The intro is bad ass too!!! :)

  • I just sat next to Gunner on a flight from Hartford to Vegas. Really cool guy!

  • nice!

  • Did u get his autograph?

  • A good band that had the escense of the 80's , then they were some of the witness of the brand rock of the 90's with groups like Nirvana and Pearl Jam just to mention some. Groups have to evolve or die, too.

  • For some reason this song...rocks...

  • Yes it does raise a little hell LOL

  • Yeah...it rocks

  • I watch things like this when I need a good laugh :)

  • Probably the gayest band ever.

  • then why are listening to Nelson? I'm sorry if their nothing like the Jonas Brothers or Miley Cyrus

  • Jonas brothers are the shit. Who said I was listening to anyone homo.

  • well then if Nelson is so ''gay'' then what the fuck are you doing watching this video asshole? Are you like one of those people who enjoy spoiling someone's day when you can't decide on what to do for a hobby beside sit on your mama's computer for 10 hours talking trash? It's the obvious if you're trashing talking Nelson on a Nelson video instead of doing it somewhere else. go play with yourself if you cant find a hobby.

  • Wow you really love Nelson huh? Sorry bro, didnt mean to interupt your wet dream. Do have Nelson tattoos as well? Do you regularly pleasure yourself to their picture?

  • lol this IS the jonas brothers...or the 1990 version of it. no one took this band seriously, even when they were big

  • You can't even compare Nelson to the Jonas Brothers because the records from both parties sound way different. Nelson were 80s soft rock even though this track came out in 1991, and the Jonas Brothers are modern day teen rock which is pretty much the same as soft rock. The era's of music they're both from were way too different to be compared. Music from artist like Nelson gave you a reason to turn on the radio. Jonas Brothers are for the peak of the internet age.

  • who says you have to take it seriously....just have fun....

  • Me and my older sister went nuts over this band and even played their tape out hahahaha, Not to mention we had a crush on em lol.

  • i'm a 20 year old black guy in love with early 90s music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH ES LA NETA

  • Yeah what a sad video.....that's just what everybody needs is two blond homos coming to life off their bedroom walls to save us....haha. Layne Staley of Alice In Chains could chew these guys balls off and spit them out and rite now he's very hungry..if he didnt die of heroin.

  • they were not homos dorkrench. and i bet if you put this video and song up against any alice in chains song and video and had people vote on the better one nelson would kick ass. because the 80s rock.

  • This song is awesome! What a sad video! I can sure relate to parts of this video! Wow, I haven't heard this song in years! Thanks for the memories!

  • that kid in the crowd thats all ghostly looking at the end looks like that cuz his dad killed him for being such a little bitch and not getting a job.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • 0:51

    wut a little bitch

  • I love this song!! It's so powerfull and touching. Yeah so they looked like women who cares they put out some really good songs. I'm a fan

  • If my son had a huge poster of those 2 chicks in his room, I'd get drunk every night and kick his ass, too

  • Marks song!!

  • i remember these guys in high school they put out a couple of good tunes

  • ootdega just shut up, I grew up around hip hop, rap, classical, alt, and metal, These are all very different sounds.

The sterotype for rappers is that they are black, carry guns, and ride in escalades,

likewise in Rock N Roll is Sex. drugs

You are so retarded. I bet if I ask Kirk and lars what other type of music they like they would name all sorts of music, so stop the hypocrisy

  • Nelson rocks!!!!!! My friend "Grit" was a close friend of the boys and turned me on to their music. They gave one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Very talented band, full of energy.

  • Hahahaha...Butt rock is gof as hell. Listen to Nirvana.

  • Lil Wayne is a washed up loser who couldn't even keep a talk show on the air.

  • Are you seriously comparing classic rock to modern, retarded hip-hop? Seriously?

  • modern hip hop rules, and often has a message!

  • Yeah, like "I wanna have sex with you." That one's REALLY common.

  • that message is just as common in rock music, you know

  • I imagine it is. But it's not so overwhelmingly constant that it becomes a stereotype. And besides that, rappers all sound the same, have the same lyrics, and act the same way. Sure, a lot of rock sounds exactly alike, and there are a lot of ripoff bands. But rock is much more diverse, and there's a wide variety of personalities. Hip hop is all the same. I couldn't tell Lil' Wayne from ANY other rapper to save my life.

Except Fort Minor. That's the only one I've heard that differs.

  • love the intro to the video. the music from 1:20 until the intro of the song gives me chills =]

  • Enough... with the negative comments and the back and forth riff raff! If you can't say something nice, it's best not to say it at all. Do not give power the negative types, it only empowers them. Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you and love thy neighbor...

  • this was a great song good stuff

  • oh ya nelson sucks cock!. all of u nigger cunt can die!

  • fags! all of u cock eater who like this should eat me.

  • ok, everybody STOP!!! why does everybody on youtube have to try to prove how big they think they are by dissing everybody adn everything? you dont like this music, fine. go watch another video. just dont ruin it for the rest of us. do you think we all go and start "oh yeah dude lady gaga is such a f*cking sl*t she gets laid like every night by your f*cking dad" WOW GET A LIFE PEOPLE!!!!!!!! THE '80s ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!! id you dont like it you can kiss my white ass

  • Everyone who calls this cheesy is just afraid to have emotion becuz they think it makes them weak.

    Your fools DIE

  • what the hell does the video have to do with the song

  • what r u 8? listen kid, go watch some sesame street vids, cheesy 80's rock vids are obv too complicated for u to comprehend.

  • EVERYTHING!!

  • I would love to have seen them on stage with their Dad. How awesome that would have been.

  • So cheesy yet so incredibly awesome!!!!

  • Why becuz this video and song as meaning and something important to say is it "Cheesy"

  • SHOO:

i thought the exact same thing when i first saw it.

  • i remember seeing this video and thinking "who the hell has a nelson poster hanging over their bed?"

  • DIE

  • excuse me?

  • Yes, excuse you!!

  • little girls shouldn't be going around telling people to die, on the internet or anywhere else. you could get into big trouble with that kind of talk.

  • You should learn to respect people

    CHOAD.

  • your punk chicken ass is on here calling people names and telling them to die over some stupid music video, and i need to learn respect? really? you might need to think that one through a little bit more, sweetheart.

  • Exactly I was defending the video which was not posted for yer insults.

  • defending it, huh? by telling people to die? that's nice. anyway, my original comment was NOT an insult, and it would take a stupid little twat like yourself to misconstrue it as such. it's people like you who make the youtube comment section the cesspool that it is.

  • You sed something CUZ it takes a lot to get me to talk smack.

  • shut your goddamn trap and go back to your brain-rotting nickelodeon shows and disney movies, ok?

  • I'm surprised you are still on this.

    Yes, I love Nickeldoeon

  • love it, but can't spell it, apparently.

nickelodeon sucks my left nut. those shows are brainless sit-com knock-offs that appeal to the lowest common denominator.

  • Ur a loser ass who is stuck on fighting with a 15 yr old about nonsense

  • so you're 15, and you're watching those shows that are targeted at 9-year-olds. what does that say about you?

  • that I'm awesome and cool

  • no, you're a spoon-fed retard.

  • lmfao..true..my aunt heather who was like..12-14? Or so at the time did though.....so yeah I love nelson but to be honest its kinda like me who had backstreet boys posters hanging over my bed.

  • I've never heard this extended this version of this, and I heard this song hundreds of times. Nice!

The 80's were fun. The 90's were fun. The naughties are fun. Just gotta keep your ears open.

  • The dad is a dick, but great song!

  • Damn! I haven't seen this video in years! What a flashback! Great Great Song! Thanks!

  • No way! This video is fantastic: the Indian, the angry step dad, the neon green stage, it's all perfect!

They didn't kill off hair bands, the lack of a good musician did. Suddenly, it was cool to not know how to play your instruments:) Cobane is the best example I can think of, followed by talentless fux like Green day and Weezer. The good thing that came from Weezer was the buddy holly song, featuring Fonz...sort of???

  • So why can't people love Weezer and Nelson at the same time? I like nirvana but...I like nirvana in a way that I will listen to their music on the radio but not buy any of it.

  • Great song, but the video is truly worthy of "25 Lame".

  • love this shit. Their lyrics were so beautiful.

    <3

  • They killed off the hair bands!!! So good for them

  • Great Song! I miss this kind of music! The Nelson Twins are so talented! They never appeared to get the recognition that they deserved! I heard that they got their band back together and are actually touring again! I would love to see them!

  • well said silvey. i miss great music like this too.i loved nelson.

  • They are still together minus the other three members. They also have 2 other bands they are in. The music is still great but they don't get enough recognition whats so ever!!

  • This was my very first concert and it was fantastic. They only had a few really great songs but they put on a great show and were really hot and left a lasting impression.

  • song came out during the peak of my pain in life after mothers death at 15 years old song gave me hope

  • If your trying to define the 80's with Nelson then you are sadly mistaken. This came out in 1990 and they did not last long. The 80's was decadent era that had many facets of music, metal, glam metal, jazz fusion, new wave, hard rock, pop.

  • Very well stated. I concur.

  • The 80's were a era of decadent rock, roll, sex and drugs....It was all acceptable and to be emulated.....and those of us that could do...DID!!! Great memories of my life.......which that I could be there again ,,,,,no responsibilites, no full time job, no looking to the future other than tomorrow,

  • Well said my 80s friend

  • I am proud to be the product of the decade of decadence, but all good things come to and end.....that is just one aspect of life that will probably within our life time never be again
