I rode many dirt bikes all over this exact area for 20 years, air shows at Deer Valley airport, watched blasting for the CAP canal, etc.. The long gone Deer Valley Cycle Park was the property directly north of this video. I drove the retrieval tow truck when they used to hold the mud bog races here back in the day. God, I must be old. Is there still the horizontal mineshaft into the mountain up the dirt road where the paved road goes left? Dangerous desert riding here for those unfamiliar.
My kids used to love this hill. At speeds of anything over 50 it felt a little more than weird. You got air in anything from a Toyota truck to a Suburban. They also took all the "fun" out of Cave Creek and Scottsdale roads many years ago. Those 2 had a few dips and hills that would also launch you at the right speed. I am sure that MANY crashed because of the dips though. Most cars would bottom out on the upside of the dips at ludicrous speed and certainly on the downside at even dangerous spd.
