I having problem right now. my problem is when i click the action to put action script, I can't type. the error is " current selection cannot have actions applied to it." somebody help me. please.

I'm using AS2, and I tried this. It works when I test the movie, but when I export it or publish it, the button no longer works. What do I do? I want to post this online and have it possible for other the press on the link.

@Aqlex I'm having the exact problem. Did you ever figure out why it wouldn't work once exported?

Well, once I post the thing on newgrounds, the link magically works. Also, if I export the thing as a .exe instead of .swf, the links also work. I think the computer itself may be blocking the links.

I tried it on 2 other computers in the house and had 2 others try it on their computers, all locally. The computer that created the swf was the only one that had the buttons works out of all of them.

However, I uploaded all the files to a server, and once it was online....it worked on all the computers. So, maybe you're right. It is magic! It must be something with the file paths and with it being local. Thanks for responding.
