  • COME ON GUYS THIS IS TRULLY KISS BEACUSE I KNOW WHAT GENE VOICE SOUND LIKE

  • This is not a KISS song - its a Gene Simmons song - there is KISS, then there's Gene Simmons - even Paul said there is public Gene, and private Gene - a refelection on Gene as to who he really is

  • This album kills! Gene at his best

  • THIS ALBUM IS HEAVY LIKE CREATURES, LICK IT UP AND REVENGE !!!!!

  • WHOA!!!!

I would never say that its a kiss song. Thats fuckin weird! (and fuckin great!)

  • love this

  • I think that they did the same as with Creatures ... people were not ready for such a kickass music :P

  • I think this is one of the best kiss cd's {carnival of souls}

  • Definitely, this is Bruce and Eric's album! They made it sound the way it sounds. Gene sounds amazing, they all do.

  • fab

  • this is not just a bad kiss song but bad in general

  • This tune was left off of Revenge .Just as good as Unholy

  • One of Gene's best songs.

  • i remember when this album came out in the fall of 97 !! everyone was under the impression that it was gonna be new stuff by the recently re united lineup and then this came out !! not many ppl liked it but i bought it brand new and cranked the hell out of it !! still kicks ass 14 years later !! in my opinion its their best non makeup album !!

  • one of there best albums.loved the reunion but wanted to see them keep going in this direction

  • @bruins7708

i agree. this is proper music. not some money making crap . the reunion was good but after that they should have taken the make up of and gone b ack to what they were doing here. bruce wrote most of this album and played alot of genes bass lines. bruce basically put this whole album together.

  • You call this grunge?Maybe, mixed with lots of Black Sabbath\Alice in Chains sounds.Just killer! The writing is much better than Revenge

  • @robzombys1 kiss hates black sabbath, but of course in 199x they can`t produce another glam/ hair metal album...it`s not FASHION....haha

  • @gabriel02071984 kiss not hates black sabbath?? i ask this to gene simmons, and the answer is: ''NOT, KISS DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH BLACK SABBATH'', you hear this in the 93' maybe, but is not hate!! KISS IS ONLY DIFERET!

  • @gabriel02071984 they don't hate Sabbath

  • So they went grunge with one record......remember that they also went disco with one record......they survived that, they survived this......and this was a kickass record regardless

  • I love Kiss. but its strange to listen to this song and at the same time think they made shout it out loud, rock n roll all nite, let me go rock n roll, and all other songs that are gently rock n roll.

  • I can imagine Zakk Wylde on this track...

  • One of my favorite albums. It certainly doesn't sound like "Classic KISS" but it embodied the original KISS attitude. Before they were a "family act" they were dark, scary, not your little brother's band and your parents definitely didn't want you listening to them. This is just as much KISS as Destroyer. If you only like the original lineup that's fine but that most definitely is not the only KISS but a fraction of the legacy they continue to build on.

  • I LOVE THIS ALBUM, COMPLETE...!!

  • sorry..thats not KISS

  • Comment removed

  • @megamotordethcruekis yes man i know, but this is not the KISS i know and i totally dislike this version of KISS.........KISS were only KISS when Ace and Peter were in the band, that was the time when they made their most kickass albums

  • This is far superior to sonic gloom.

  • I've always felt that Carnival of Souls would be the direction the KISS revenge lineup would have taken if the reunion didn't happen. This is a good KISS album and this fits Gene more than Paul, who didn't like the album much.

  • Ammazza che cagata...

  • @sugzug91 e invece è bellissima.prova a leggere il testo

  • A Great KISS Album would be one that includes all the Gene songs from Revenge and all The Gene songs from Carnival Of Souls just drop the Paul songs from both those albums and you have one GREAT KISS album!!

  • what makes this so great!! no make up& not even ace,its all bruce!! ace was great but bruce hes the more well rounded guitarist that ace isnt. again ace was great but only one dimensional. bruce can play it all, rock, metal, blues & pulls it off nicely!!

  • Kiss was all about the 70's-they dominated that era, capital wise at least...it takes the most fanatical of fans to say that anything after 'Dynasty' was really worth hearing! I mean, come on, they had an awesome long run, they're a great 70's rock 'n' roll band-one of the top 10 best-but, let's not let fanaticism blind us from the truth, people! Even the greatest of groups know when to throw in the towel...maybe not...

  • This is the BEST KISS album musically ever !

  • love this .... evil!! kiss#1

  • Hendrix influence

  • i love kiss but I am upset about bruce getting dissed

  • Kiss was is and always will be Kiss no matter who is wearing the makeup they still got the passion

  • @demon312003 what if Paul and Gene weren't in the band?

  • @legojunk53 Ace and Peter would come back.........

  • @steve7onfire how I wish they did!!!!

  • @legojunk53 It would ROCK!

  • I don't care this has a f*cking great badass sound

  • If you Like KISS , you can't forget this TUNE. Love the FEEDBACK intro, ROCK ON KISS. Gotta Love the DEMON.

  • this song would be awesome live!

  • Damn.....This album was bad ass wasn't it..

  • KISS conquered Grunge too.

  • this and no rainare pretty much the best kiss songs,

  • uhhh man, this song is divine!

  • I have always liked this album, hard and heavy and for once they have ignored the "oh woman you're so sexy and I wanna put my pistol in your fire" bs, little more deeper things on this album. Very underrated in my opinion, like creatures of the night and Music From The Elder.

  • @Bewizeorwize Their 3 best albums in my opinion (except Destroyer, that would take second place for me behind COTN)

  • @wwerulestna Yeah, it's a shame that most people only know songs like Heavens on Fire, Lick It Up or I Was Made as a example.

  • This was a damn depressing album, but it had it's share of great tunes, this one being my favourite.

  • OF COURSE IS KISS¡¡¡¡ THIS ALBUM IS NOT VERY KNOWN... BUT IS A GREAT EXAMPLE THAT KISS CAN MAKE MUSIC OF ANY GENRE WITH EXCELENT PERFORMANCE¡¡¡¡..LUV THIS SONG I GOT ALL KISS ALBUMS¡¡¡

  • Bruce fuckin' rocks.Gene is really sinkin his teeth into this one.

  • this is not kiss

  • a great album!

  • You're not a true Kiss fan if you dont like this album, some people on here think that this doesn't sound like Kiss,This sounds very much like Kiss kinda reminds me of the album "Hotter Than Hell",Kiss has very heavy albums, kiss has albums that are rock in roll,Kiss has it all they're a versatile band

  • @lamons71 Get REAL most fans don't like this one it

was to alternitive. their other LPs though were great including Unmasked & Music from the elder. i say they are not real fans if they don't like any of their 80's stuff.

Hot in the shade had some good songs on it but that is my second least favorite CD.

  • @MetalHeart8787 I like this album,i have listened to Kiss since "77 and dig all their stuff,I think Revenge is one of their best albums,Music from the Elder?,I bought that when it first came out and couldn't listen to it along with most of the Kiss fans, then it grew on me after listening to it a bunch of times,Its cool though you know your shit too i respect that,i like the fact that Kiss can change their sound

  • @lamons71 thats good as kiss fans were in agreement.

Like gene has said him & Paul like alot of different things

i can see why fans were like WThell? in 81. i only remember collecting kiss cards in the 70's & seeing pictures of them, once 87 hit i knew i had to check out all their stuff. true they have changed their sound & thats good I do like sonic Boom i see fans either love it or Hate it.

  • KISS are a poser sellout band and this album is one of their worst. they were trying to copy the grunge/alternative sound just like they did with disco and hair metal. jesus christ what a crock of shit.

  • @SoSoRandom123 ,

There is no such thing as hairmetal..

Long hair goes along with rock and roll.

There was a certain period in the 80's

when it became fucking populair to have hair like that.

Assholes started to call that era as "hairmetal"...

  • @SoSoRandom123 Every band is influenced by the music of the times.

  • @wwerulestna and some bands actually stay true to their sound. being influenced by other bands = copying them. a group like KISS shamelessly gave up their roots in favor of whatever the current trend was = selling out. there's another little band who did a similar thing and regrets it to this day - metallica.

  • @SoSoRandom123 Of course they sell out, Everynight they play !!!

  • @SoSoRandom123 Metallica dosent regret anything they put out, I'm assuming your talikng about the Load and Re-load albums. As for Kiss they did a very good job at keeping with the times therefore keeping them in the public at all time. Alot bands tried to keep to there "roots" throughout the 80's and 90's and failed by doing so. Carnival of Souls is in my opinion the best KISS album ever.

  • @Believe316 i can't believe people are still replying to this. you are wrong about Metallica. their drummer stated in an interview that they consider St. Anger (as do MANY fans) a complete failure of a record. they tried to change their sound because they were looking for a new generation of audience. surprise surprise on their last record they went back to the old sound. unfortunately the damage has already been done. Metallica have become their own cover band.

  • @SoSoRandom123 I am not wrong because Lars and James had said so themselves that St.Anger wasn't there best but they wer only tring to get back to being a really heavy band again.

  • @Believe316 as for applauding KISS on "keeping with the times" - when bands and people do this it's seems so fake. the see their popularity fading, so they desperately try to clutch at whatever music genre is trendy at the moment and imitate it. remember when Madonna became a rapper? that was pretty sad. imagine if Green Day started playing emo because it's popular these days, or Britney putting out a rock album, or a rock band cutting a disco record ...oh wait.

  • @SoSoRandom123 And you just proved my point. That's what has made KISS great, that not every album sounds the same. They kept new fans coming in at all times with there "genre" record. Think about it this way, if they hadn't stayed "current" all of those years who knows what would had happened to them. They would had probably just been thrown aside as another 70's act that whose time had come and gone. I'm very happy that they stuck with the formula that they. It made it great!!!

  • @SoSoRandom123 Green Day has already done that. They SUCK now.

  • Bruce KILLS on this! Best guitar player EVER! Ace was good, but Bruce puts ACE in the mud, plus Bruce makes ppl like Vinnie Vincent look like a juggling act in a circus

  • I totally agree

  • kiss is by far one of the gr8test bands

  • One Of My Favorite Albums of Kiss

  • kiss had music for all the generations from the rock n roll in th 70's,glam in the 80's even grunge in the 90's....i didn't eben knew that kiss had so many music styles...

  • 1:23 glypse mou ton poutso!

    :Pkiss for ever!!!

  • mmmm

    yeah

sounds a little bit like grunge

    well

    most like Alice In Chains

  • @GOORVY a lot like Alice in Chains, I guess AIC touring with KISS influenced them to make this album.

  • @wwerulestna yes indeed, but it was at 1996 when KISS made the reunion tour, KISS recorded this two-three years before, anyway you inmediatly can see the influence, but I guess that the real reason of why KISS got this sound is that in the 90's glam rock was dead and KISS needed to do something new and the grunge band who get closer to Hard Rock was Alice In Chains

  • They are using Drop C# here! Cool!

  • @jeserty6 C# standard but who's counting?

  • At the very beginning you can hear a voice saying "Ladies and gentleman from Boise, Idaho"... But you have to really turn up the volume to hear it.

  • If you are a KISS fan how can you not like this album??? I think its one of their BEST!!

  • yeah do like this , its a heavy version of unholy , no where as near as good , but yeah this is a very avg kiss album , n thats pretty bad , they tried to follow trends n this just didnt work , i do like the song the jungle but the rest is very avg

  • this was an album i bought and just sold. they were trying to follow the trend. wasnt kiss to me.

  • Kiss Rocks like hell..... seriously.

  • kiss sold out on day one ,so when other bands want a change of pace they get told their sellouts, but kiss can do what the hell they like cool

  • ALL bands want one thing: MONEY, not only Kiss & Simmons.

  • This aint KISS, its Gene...a difference, there's KISS, the there's Gene

  • I think Gene and Paul were listening to ALOT of Alice In Chains when they came up with this.

  • This song and this Cd kick ass!!!...

  • KISS - grunge style. haha they own everything 4m hard rock 2 glam rock 2 glam metal 2 heavy metal 2 shock rock 2 progressive rock and hell even disco. KISS is the ultiamate sell-out band ig that's exactly y they're the greatest band of all time. \m/

  • I agree, it's just that I don't think it's selling out. In fact, I don't think that the term means anything in rock and roll. What's selling out? KISS likes to take on multible styles and do them their own way. That's what I like about them!

  • i do think it is kinda selling out though bcuz they try the music that is popular at the time...... ex- disco 1979, Dynasty was released, disco was huge...... 1982ish to 1989 they were a glam metal band and hair bands were huge then........ 1997 they attempted grunge, and it was also the biggest type of rock music at the time....

but yea, that's also y i love 'em... they try many different styles and that's what makes 'em so good. \m/

  • @imagesk8r6969 As Gene as said, "Youre Goddamn right we're sellouts. We sellout everytime we play anywhere we play."

  • I agree!

  • One of the most underrated KISS songs... CoS is such a great album!

  • CoS is an underrated album. Creatures of the Night may be underrated, but at least it went Gold. CoS has no certification, and the songs have been ignored for live shows.
