  • I know so-called 'Marxists' are quick to distance their beliefs from the Marxist-Leninist USSR, but what about the system of production there? Wasn't the USSR fuctioning on a similar belief that significantly increased production was necessary in the medium-long term in order to increase the USSR's productive capacity and 'conquer' nature? Is it possible that not just 'capitalism' is to blame for the global warming crisis we have but aspects of 'Marxism'? See Bookchin as linking these points.

  • Good point. In other words, LESS consumerism, not BETTER consumerism, is the answer.
