  • this is a great demo vid, thanks for uploading ;) I just bought an Ebbe Und Flut and it's a beast but it's only in mono :( So I have to get another one and they are not cheap : / How do you like the DSI evolver? I have a DSI PEK and I LOVE IT!!!

Would you recommend the sherman filterbank for some of it subtleties or? I am looking into the ms 404 now and what is the blue rackpiece underneath of that? Peace

  • @Lemure333 thanks :) great you like it.. In fact I liked the evolver but there were big trouble with the encoders in it so I sold it and bought some euro rack modular system. This is my final system I will never sell !

Yes I'd recommend a Sherman FIlterbank although you have a Ebbe&Flut. It's sounds completely different and is following a different concept..

The blue rack piece below the 404 is an Emagic AMT 8 midi interface ;-) hope that helps you. feel free to ask further questions

  • @fjl90 Bummer, the encoders meaning the pots and dialing? I have had to clean a few of mine recently but bought it used to so... go figure. Yeah, being that modular is a direction I am into (but being careful of it's addictiveness) I will hit you up for questions if they shall arise. Thanks for sharing and for getting back to me...peace

  • The sherman destroys and smashes up everything.. it cannot sound warm and fat..

So I already sold the sherman..

Instead I bought an DSI eVolver Keyboard... Very Very nice gear as well..

  • @fjl90 sorry, cannot agree to that. the fact is, many sherman owners, as you could see in the videos don't know how to handle it. they're just boosting input , destroying everything, turning knobs blindly. of course, that always sounds the same. but if you know how the 2 filters work and interact together you could get beautiful results, without any distortion. plus you could control the filter frequency, resonance, etc. via midi, to filter a drumloop for example. this is where the fun starts

  • why must be the filterbank such expensive :( nice gears, nice sound

  • Nice !

    Tracking 'active'

(switch next to the white led NOT in neutral-middle position)

is a special case of using the FB2......F1, FM ADSR and LFO amount won't reakt as usual.
