Here let me help the real winner is both.... Sims and Second Life have pros and cons. The graphics and dance animations are much better with Second Life. Sims is has no prim limits and you don't need other people. Sims you can do everything your self without help. Second life is kinda fun when you know how to create script, texture, animation, sculpture and a great marketing skill which is why Second Life isn't for everyone and 99% of my friends would rather play the SIm or IMVU insted.

I hate Second Life
1. The Sims doesn't crash my computer, and Second Life is the reason why my 2008 built computer is no longer usable, leaving me to use a 2002 laptop.
2. Downloading most custom thing's for The Sims is FREE, while in Second Life, you MUST PAY FOR.
3. You don't have to be a CERTAIN age to play The Sims (its rated T) but anyone can have rated T games. I even let my 6 year old get The Sims.
Just get The Sims. Second Life is a waste of your life!!!

SL is sexy, very very sexy, when it comes to movement and dance, it wins.
But closeup, the characters looks....lifeless/
SIMS 2 is a beautiful game for closeups and realism, I think. Sadly it seems more limited/
So both are beautiful movie making devices, in my opinion.

@zenpicturehouse In sims 2 u can make good houses, pets, and u get to download custom content. You have expansions and stuff... And you can have [I think] 8 people in 1 household or family and u can make REALISTIC sims

I have a question about SL...when you make movies in it are you expected to work with other online actors? I know there is a way to log into multiple accounts at once but as a whole, is it more of a group project than Sims is?
