looks like an res so and there almost fully aquatic, so raise the water level to the top and give him a basking area out of the water and he needs a lamp over the basking area. i dont think you even have a water heather lol

turtles need room to move, horizontally not vertically. my advice is you need a longer tank and an easy access basking point. also the water looks a little dirty, is your filter working correctly? nie looking turtle anyways. :)

My RES loves fishies too. Goldfish, minnows, danios... Only problem is that she's getting to fat and slow to catch them.

Also found that she likes bits of plum taken out of my fingers, pellets (duh), and crickets, crickets, crickets. Starting to incorporate fruit into her diet.
