Sugar Gliders are NOT on the endangered list but ARE protected - intentionally from dimwitted acquisitors who think anything cute MUST be owned! They can only be kept with a highly specialised license which is ONLY given vigorous appraisal of applicant and then ONLY for research. The nearly indentical, highly fragile mahogany glider, a close relative IS endangered.

You don't "get" a sugar glider you leave them in their natural habitat! That's predominantly Australia. They are not toys or pets.
