They are real chainsaws, but they remove the chains off of them so they cant harm anyone. They are filled with gas, because there is a high smell of gas after the actors leave.

does the chainsaw have real chains on it, or is it a fake chainsaw with a gas smell and a real chainsaw sound. cause what if the guy trips and falls on someone if its real.
