I was surprised to see this today, it is just a copy of a Japanese movie and not good as the original one. (lit. "South Pole Story", released in the U.S. as Antarctica). Original movie has got an unbelieavably beautiful music by Vangelis... This re-maked movie is good but not as good as original.
The scientist is stupid. If there is a storm coming in they should get back to base before it hits and not stay to find some stupid rock. They can go after the storm is over. The rock wil still be there I`m sure. The dogs are so cute :D
@burns297 He doesn't want to come back for the rock because he knows that after an antarctic storm is could be buried beneath 50 feet of snow and then ice a month later. Don't get me wrong you're right. I wouldn't care if a rock played bluray disks and was signed by Jesus, it's just a rock and it's not worth your life, your guides life, and those of a bunch of sweet little dogs.

@qwnyx actually yes. huskies/ malamutes were bred to withstand extreamly low temputers. they can withstand temputures as low as -60. its amazing but thats what they're made for. litteraly.
