Uhm - you do know that NIN originally wrote & recorded "Hurt" for The Downward Spiral, which was released in 1994? Which means that Cash covered Hurt, not the other way around. Also Trent was already phenomenally successful in his own right long before JC covered this.  Saying that, Cash's version is stunningly beautiful & emotional...:)
