  • Excellent vid, thanks!

  • Thanks for this, great tip, works very well.

  • You can also tweak the filter slightly to mimic the location of the hit on the drum varying

what do you mean by that?

  • sorry im abit confused.. i set up my snare pattern with the lfo controlling volume going into m1 and i i dont hear any sound

do you need to make m1 a specific machine like another snare drum

i have left the track m1 blank and just punched in a pattern and im not getting the ghost snares

  • do a whole set of MD tutorials. ill love you forever.

  • Simply brilliant. Thanks for sharing this technique. I'm about to implement it into FL Studio on my latest project. Should breathe some life into my drums.

  • nice technique, will have to give it a try.

  • Very interesting indeed...Thanks for sharing!

  • brilliant technique. might i add this can be extended to any music making environment where a semi random LFO can be connected to the volume of a drum (MaxMSP comes immediately to mind).

  • Nice vid. I've got a question on how you set up your LFO.

In the LFO menu [FUNC] + [LFO], how do you set up your UPDTE and SPEED settings?

Also, is there a sort of LFO Sync so that the LFOs always start their cycle at the biginning of a measure?

And exactly which sound are you using? One of the TRX?

    Thanks much!

  • UPDTE = HOLD, SPEED = 64, DEPTH = 64

LFOs on one track can effect a parameter on another track so I suppose you could use a second track, set the TRACK accordingly, set UPDTE = TRIG, put a TRIG on the first beat of the measure and see what happens.

The snare is TRX-SD on both the main track and the ghost track.

    You're welcome!

  • nice trick

  • interesting vid - I don't own an MD but have been thinking about getting one for along time...
