Simply brilliant. Thanks for sharing this technique. I'm about to implement it into FL Studio on my latest project. Should breathe some life into my drums.
brilliant technique. might i add this can be extended to any music making environment where a semi random LFO can be connected to the volume of a drum (MaxMSP comes immediately to mind).
LFOs on one track can effect a parameter on another track so I suppose you could use a second track, set the TRACK accordingly, set UPDTE = TRIG, put a TRIG on the first beat of the measure and see what happens.
The snare is TRX-SD on both the main track and the ghost track.
Excellent vid, thanks!

You can also tweak the filter slightly to mimic the location of the hit on the drum varying
what do you mean by that?

Nice vid. I've got a question on how you set up your LFO.
In the LFO menu [FUNC] + [LFO], how do you set up your UPDTE and SPEED settings?
Also, is there a sort of LFO Sync so that the LFOs always start their cycle at the biginning of a measure?
And exactly which sound are you using? One of the TRX?
Thanks much!

UPDTE = HOLD, SPEED = 64, DEPTH = 64
LFOs on one track can effect a parameter on another track so I suppose you could use a second track, set the TRACK accordingly, set UPDTE = TRIG, put a TRIG on the first beat of the measure and see what happens.
The snare is TRX-SD on both the main track and the ghost track.
You're welcome!
