Fate Sunk 9 May, 1942 in the North Atlantic south-west of Cape Hatteras, USA, in position 34.21N, 76.35W, by depth charges from the US Coast Guard cutter USCGC Icarus. 15 dead and 33 survivors.
There was unusually great visibility in the water during that mission. This was taken by our maritime heritage archaeologists and researchers for NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries. For more information, please visit our official expedition web site - you can find it by going to our overall site link and the clicking on "Expeditions" in the navigation sidebar.
It is eery just seeing that boat laying there broken on the bottom where she fell. How many men perished inside that hull while gallantly preforming there duty's? Honor to them...
Just think of being in a submarine in the dark depths of the sea... When the bloop comes out of the depths o.O
Google the bloop or write bloop in the youtube search bar to know that I mean.

@rein1705 U-352 was sunk by a US Coast Guard Cutter. The cutter eventually rescued a lot of the crew- only 13 went down with the sub.
