I started "impersonating" Elvis back in 1976....I don't care what they try to call themselves like "ETA'S" they are still impersonators. The term ETA came about when being called an Elvis impersonator was becoming more and more of a joke so they tried to separate themselves from the pack...sorry guys...you are still ALL impersonators and there will only be one king! Elvis Himselvis. Never been one that sounded as good as him

i agree, impersonators use other peoples fame and glory for there benifit. I think the only person EVER to pull off Elvis Presley was Elvis himself, no other person has come close. I've noticed - you never ever see a young 50's elvis. it's always the suits and the thick side burns and thick jet black hair and usually gold glasses

@rockerstar101 I don't know how many "impersonators" you've seen, but it obviously hasn't been very many. First off, the term is Elvis tribute artists, because they are performing a TRIBUTE. Secondly, you need to check out the best 50s Elvis ever: Cody Slaughter.

@rockerstar101 Cody Slaughter is the the best young Elvis to date, Donny Edwards also does a great young Elvis. For 68 Elvis, there are many guys that can do it well. Cody Slaughter again can do the 68 Elvis well. For the 70s, it's only a number of guys that have it down. The overally best 70s Elvis is Bill Cherry by far. Eddie Miles is up there as well. Shawn Klush is good too, but he is a little overrated.

Another great performance by Richard Atkins, he has got that presence & I have only seen a handful of eta's that have it! There is one guy I am watching closely at the moment & I think he belongs up there along with Richard!
