love the 90s baby! especially overseas like japan and europe----because everything there hit a few years later, those countries treated hip-hop as if it were still 1983!
by 1989-1996, most mainstream US hip hop was gangsta/crime-ridden.
this vid was alright but ths is where it probably took a bad turn because people and the media would confuse bboying and bgirling with ..popping..or locking..thats whent he bad criticsim.came along..im glad.it w as rocksteady that put bboying on the map and all..but i think it was kind of there.fault.for having locals..calling uss..breakdancers..and saying that poping was the same as bboying.and having locals thing we all dance to the same music.
Yeah, I also bought a copy of this, back in the day, when I was a mad video collector, travelling to little speciallist shops all over the UK, to feed my Hip hop addiction. I particularly liked that little section of the vid, where they were all breakin, in front of that graff-covered wall.
I saw Gori and Choo Choo at the 99' B-Boy Summit. Not sure if I spelled there names correct lol. There were others that came to the 99 summit, but it was the newer generation Japan RSC. Oh and I saw (Masami - Japan RSC) at last year's RSC Anniversary...
