WOW, very nice RED xbox! congrats! i have the pro package, and i got it when it came out, it had RROD, but i got it fixed, for some reason i'm proud to have the "old skool" xbox 360, although it doesent even have an HDMI output. but at least the inside of it, is now fixed, and still works like a BEAST! RE5 very good game, i've beat it very fun. anyway, GOOD LUCK.

Guys you've gotta LISTEN! Man Jasper doesn't mean "No Red Rings of Death", it only uses a 150W Power Adapter and a 65Nm Chipset! It has a failure rate of 1-5%, the old one's had a 90Nm Chipset which ofcoarse overheats instantly and a 203W Power Adapter. Jasper means that you'll 90-98% enjoy your 360 and a 2% rate that the Red Rings of Death might come! It means there's still a possibility but it's still much better! Get it!?

Just to let people know, Chronicles of Riddick is amazing! Being a HUGE fan of Escape from Butcher Bay, I was appalled when I found out it wasn't BC with the 360. The remake/sequel is great! Anybody who liked the original, likes the Riddick universe, or likes a great looking shooter/action-adventure/steal­th game all in one should totally pick this up or at least rent it.

I was a little worried because I actually didn't care for the RE5 demo. It was crazy, a game I had been waiting for and being an avid fan of the series, was worried that Capcom had lost it.

Man, was I wrong. Resident Evil 5 is now one of my favorite games on the 360. I've played through it 4 times now and it just doesn't get old. I think the multiplayer is pretty stupid, except for Mercenaries mode. You should def. go out and get it, its amazing. Just use RE4 controls and your all set.

I'm not sure on the availibility of Jasper consoles. Most new Arcade units are Jaspers. Read up online how to tell if you have one. A dead givaway is the 150W power-brick.

And I don't care what reviews say, Resident Evil 5 is an amazing game. You get used to the *ancient* controls after awhile. The story is great and it's not necessarily scary, but it is one hell of a thrill ride.

UPDATE: I finished the game last night. I'm gearing up for my second playthrough on Professional difficulty. It's a great game and one of my favorites on the 360.

The jasper units are supposed to be very less prone to overheating at all, making the red rings unlikely. NEVER PUT A NYKO INTERCOOLER ON YOUR XBOX 360! Read up online about them. They are the worst things you can put on your Xbox 360. They actually make your system more prone to bricking! I also sent off my 4th on Monday.
