  • once again.... HOLY $%&!

  • Les Anne-Sophie sont exceptionnelle... Haha dire que j'en suis une peut être exceptionnelle mais pas au violon, piano plutot. Anne-Sophie Mutter est si douée !!!

  • Anne Sofie Mutter is the reason why I can play violin today....I went to one of her concerts in Oslo, and it was so beautiful to listen to that I decided there and then that I wanted to learn the violin; so my neighbour she moved after five months of rehearsing....well, learning violin as an adult is not very recommended I think, but I managed songs....

    Beautiful instrument

  • @musicacrossworld She is also the reason why I play violin. I love her playing so much.

  • haha her little finger in 1:05

  • Perfect!!! Love her...

  • waw !

  • shes hot!

  • And this, my folks, is why she's my favorite violinist...oh man.

  • wow

  • my idol

  • omg, she makes it look so easy =\

  • great!! my name is Anne-Sophie to!!

  • Hear Hannah Tarley perform the Beethoven Concerto!

  • every time i watch this lady play, she makes me want to pick up my violin and practice for hours. she is the only violinist that motivates me so.

  • @thatsodiesel Keep watching :-)

  • Have you ever seen Anne-Sophie with Vivaldi's Four Seasons, the BPO and Karajan? Amazing. I got it as a BitTorrent.

  • Mutter likes adding her individual touches to the pieces she's playing,as is obviously evident whenever playing the "Beethoven Violin Concerto".Violinists should not be judged by a comparison of technical skill to other violinists, but should be judged on the basis on how they performed it as an individuality. And to sum this up,please don't be afraid in joining me say -YOU FUCKING ROCK ANNE-SOPHIE MUTTER!NOW,THIS IS THE TRUE POTENTIAL OF THE VIOLIN,BEING PERFORMED AT ITS BEST!

    - a fellow musician

  • @daniel3231995 Hear Hannah Tarley perform the Beethoven Concerto!

  • This is a response to "mapleleafgal" - Every individual violinist has their own interpretative understanding of the piece that they're performing. If Mutter prefers to play the violin cadenza that fast of a tempo, then so be it,let her play how she thinks it should be played.Mutter, however,is not an "ass" as you insinuate; From a personal perspective, and many will agree with me,she is a master virtuoso on the violin, she may not play as is conventional, but performs pieces "differently"...(Continued)

  • Indeed. Elaborate the purpose of a cadenza to him one more time.

  • one of my favourite candenzas

  • This is absolutely the best....by far...solo ever!!! To die for.

  • ......and just like that, Mutter distanced herself from the long-standing presumptions that she would reach full potential as a teen and fall into obscurity, and became a violin virtuoso. Perlman's performance, unlike his other masterful works, was miserably substandard; it lacked precision and was a mess in terms of tonality. Sorry Perlman, Mutter takes the cake.

  • @tenolamacintosh you have no idea what you are talking about. but nice try.

  • As and adult - during the consert of Anne Sofie Mutter in Oslo - I decided to learn the violin; so I did, and now I do play - basic violin, what a great instrument; the legato tune; is like hearing the voice of Ofra Haza

  • She is amazing!

  • So that is what they mean when a person is described to be a "virtuoso". True talent and lots of hard work.

  • I know nothing about the violin, but her technique looked pretty incredible to me. How does she get her hands and fingers to move like that?

  • Hi,

This is called virtuodo playing. A very small fraction of string instrument players are born with such ability. On top of that there is of course a very serious musical training. All this is in contrast with pop electric guitar players who usually have no technical training and owe much of their "music" to electronic artifacts

  • one of the best violinist, i dun noe how many times i said this, but i still want to say it

  • I know this is a video of Anne-Sophie Mutter but I would like to say that Karajan is is the best.

  • anne sophie je t'aime

  • Heaven on Earth

  • Fantastic!!

  • Oh, in this cadenza, she beats Perlman! But, her latest version of this in 2007 wasn't as fast as this one.

  • Pretty good fiddler!

  • "It is not a fiddle, it is a Stradivarius, ignoramus."

  • Stradivari Lord Dunn Raven

  • this is the best performance of this kraisler kadenza the articulatilation and speed......whitout words

  • its the first movement cadenza i think

  • umm no this definitely the last movement kreisler cadenza

  • oooo you're right sorry my mistake!!

  • amazing!

  • Oh MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mounth open and eyes wide....wow!

  • she's the man !!!!! awesome

  • SHE - IS - GOD !!! no other words could describe her... I heard her live in Milan (2004) playing this concerto, and even the rehersal, with Riccardo Muti... SHOCKING! :-D she's the best. Of ever!

  • lejos,es la mejor violinista de la farandula musical femenina, aparte es super rica.ja

  • old stylish powerful d.bass section,great guys!

  • fantastic

  • Can't seem to find anything of you playing. Criticizing a great artist "just because you can" makes one look like an ass.

  • that's exactly what Cadenzas are for!

  • Please Anne, play some paganini, naked. Just once.

  • Comment removed

  • the rest of the concerto is slow though. seeing how long the 1st mvt is some peopel may never get to it.

  • That's how fast its supposed to go. Its a cadenza, meant to be showy.

  • that is the kreisler cadenza

  • Why does she play the cadenza so quickly? Compared to her tempi throughout the piece, it's very very very quick. Probably one of the fastest kreisler cadenza's I've heard...and her concerto throughout, is actually very slow...

  • haha because she can....

  • that' what cadenza's are for - to show off.

  • Sometimes, her violin likes a canon...strong with power!! Good!

  • she's great!!!

  • Niiiice!
